MY NOVA SS...its a classic. And soon to be a simple pro-street car

Here it is up on the lift. Now that was a good investment...we never would have been able to put the disc brakes on this car if we didn't have that lift. And yes...it has the stock wheels on the back and American Racing Torq Thrust II's on the front. White trash style u say? I agree, but we have a Ford 9-inch rear end that we're putting in the back and we gotta wait for that to go in before we put the new wheels on. Plus, they're four-lug wheels in the rear...dumb 1963's and their four lug wheels...

The current powerplant right now...a 194 c.i.d. in-line six cylinder engine. All stock...probably about 50 horsepower...if I'm lucky. Well pretty soon this baby is gonna be replaced by a healthy, rebuilt 350 Chevy...none of the engine being stock of course.

Here is the 350 as of November 19, 2004. We have the crank, cam, and pistons installed and we're waiting on an Edelbrock head bolt kit to come in before we can bolt the cylinder heads on. The cam is an Edelbrock Performer RPM cam and the pistons are hypereutectic flat top pistons. The cylinder heads are also Edelbrock Performer RPM and the intake is going to be an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap manifold. Pretty much the only thing not Edelbrock on this engine is going to be the carburetor. For this we're using a Holley 650 cfm double-pumper.

I'll update the page as we complete different parts of the car.

We finally got the head bolt kit and bolted the cylinder heads on. The manifold isn't actually bolted on yet because we haven't installed pushrods or anything yet and since we still have stuff to do on the underside, we don't want the lifters falling out when we turn it over. But anyways, here it is so far. Looking good, eh?

AH disc brakes...gotta love 'em...
Right now I'm in the process of painting the engine compartmentso once we get the engine finished it's all ready to drop in. We're still waiting for some parts though before we can get the engine done. This lack of time and money is really killing the project.

Here are some pictures of the engine as it is now. We just got the rocker arms installed and some other stuff done so that we could get it pretty much put together.
