this car really aint nothing special, but i dig it. dont have the money for big performance upgrades and im not really into huge thumpin, so im basically working on a smooth, stealthy ride to haul around in. Let me know how i can cheaply but tastefully improve on the old girl.

WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH THIS? I'm not interested in a big stereo, but maybe some kinda goofy setup back there. ANY IDEAS??

yeah i used a pair of 12 inch neons from www.svc.com, easy to install u just snip off the connector and hook up the red or yellow wire as a positive lead(i hooked mine up to the headlight fuse in the front of the engine) and then ground the black wire to the frame of the car. I also positioned the switch that comes with it under my dash. So whenever my headlights turn on automatically, so does my neons but I also have the option of turning them off seperatly in case I'm driving somewhere where the lighting sucks. Very apealing Ive gotten many compliments from this mod.

no i haven't seen it man. and for that type of power i am sure you are going to need an amp. those "biggums" are definately going to require massive wattage. keep me posted on what you are going to do. peace bro.

nice ride man. haha you've brought it up past 130 too huh? good stuff! my kenwood sub does have more punch than the stock, but if you are going to replace it you might as well get an amp. the stock toyota sub is rated at 20 watts. and no, thats not a typo. 20 watts of rms power is not alot. but this kenwood sub... http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=12042 ... has a rms wattage of 26 so it will bolt into place where the stock sub once was and will run good on the factory amp built into the stock deck. don't quote me on the exact wattage of the toyota avalon 7 piece audio system, but i am pretty sure it exceeds 200 watts (so if you do upgrade your head unit you will need an amp) because most aftermarket head units are 50watts x 4 channels, or 200 total watts. the only reason i replaced my stock sub was because i blew it and toyota wanted to charge me $260 for a replacement and even more to install. i've just recently replaced my air fuel sensor (rear bank, firewall side) by myself too. you learn alot about a car when you do the work yourself. and save money. lots of money. good luck with the sub. if you are going to replace it, bolt in a good replacement unit (8 inch will fit into place) with an amp for some kickin bass. otherwise leave the stock sub. it sure costs enough in msrp oem dollars! peace bro.
