Had the opportunity to compete in Pinks All Out at Martin, MI.  The schedule was 2 practice passes Friday and 2 qualifying passes Saturday.  I was up late Thursday night trying to sort out problems.  The first qualifying pass I had issues in the staging lanes but ran it anyways.  It only went 13.4, not good since you're supposed to run at least 12s.  After some mad scrambling to the parts store it was ready to go for the second pass with only a few minutes to spare.  Special thanks to Jimmer Kline, my buddy Chris and all the people who helped out.  Went 12.56 @ 104 on a 1.65 60' time!  I was pumped!  The wideband showed it was way out of tune so I made some adjustments and partied like only drag racers can!  Saturday finally rolled around and I made my first qualifying pass.  Launched great, pulled both front tires, then felt like it got into wheel hop.  I tried to pedal it but it quickly became obvious that something was hurt and I pulled over.  Turns out the new tune-up made too much power and tore up a ring gear.  I did get one cool picture with one front tire off the ground and diff fluid squirting out.

5 Stars accross the board! Great job and great site! I have my 88 Grand Wagoneer in storage. When I come back from deployment I can't wait to post pictures of her. She has a built 401 (pretty similar) and I just purchased a prototype A518 4 speed that I will install when I get back.
