Taurus Keypad Entry

rwenzing's 2003 Ford RangerThis keypad is from a 94 Taurus. It is wired to the Ranger's Central Security Module which has been reprogrammed. A rectangular hole was cut in the driver's door to allow installation.

Headlight mod

rwenzing's 2003 Ford RangerAfter heating and separating the clear lens from the body of the headight, all interior surfaces except the reflectors were sprayed satin black.

rwenzing's 2003 Ford Ranger2006 corner markers were also opened up to receive the black treatment

2006 Ranger Fender Badges

rwenzing's 2003 Ford RangerThese are the new 06 emblems. They have been modified slightly by the addition of a die cut "Level II" sticker.

Custom Die-cuts

rwenzing's 2003 Ford RangerThese die cut bedside stickers were custom made in the size and style of the originals. The color arrangement was revised to match some of the other blue elements of the truck.

Engine Compartment Light

rwenzing's 2003 Ford RangerLate model Rangers no longer come with an underhood light regardless of trim level. This one was salvaged from a Ford Probe.

Rear Tow Hooks

rwenzing's 2003 Ford RangerWhen a Level II is equipped with a frame mounted trailer hitch from the factory, this tow hook is deleted.

rwenzing's 2003 Ford RangerTo retain the tow hook when the Draw-Tite trailer hitch was installed, it was necessary to modify both the hitch and the tow hook so they would fit together.

rwenzing's 2003 Ford RangerA second rear tow hook has been added to the driver's side as well. This required cutting and rewelding the bracket.

Bed Crane

rwenzing's 2003 Ford RangerThis removable crane slips into a custom bracket in the corner of the box. A remote pendant controls the lift motor powered from the truck's battery.

rwenzing's 2003 Ford RangerThe bracket was carefully positioned to allow unrestricted operation of the BedXtender.

Very well built. I would love to do all the engine work you did. Ford should have made the 5.0L a option for the ranger from the begining. Image that the Ford Ranger SVT! Now all you need are a couple of Dana 60's and your ready to hit the trails.

Nice truck, love the V8. How hard was it to swap in the V8. Can it be done with a manual transmission. Not to woried about the supercharger but I wouldn't mind swapping a V8 into mine someday.
