General Info

This Page is dedicated to mine '89 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z.
Original paint was a Victory Red, and car featured 'Gold Package' - golden rims, golden stickers (they were removed tough, because car was repainted in the past), and tan interior.
Car is equipped with LB9 engine (305 cid V8 with TPI intake), TH700R4 automatic transmission. It has removable roof panels - so called t-tops, leather seats.

Modifications and Upgrade Summary

Engine
* Throttle Body Coolant Bypass
* A.I.R System Removed
* Manual Fan Control Switches Added
* AC Delco CR45TS Spark Plugs
* AC Delco 708S 8mm Wires
* K&N Air Filters (April 2006)
Everything else stock for now.

Transmission/Drivetrain
* It seems one of the previous owner have added transmission cooler. It will be replaced with B&M Transmission Cooler soon though.
* Transmission has been rebuild in March 2005. All worn parts has been replaced with quality parts from Borg-Warner and other companies. Case has been painted bright red.
* Precision Super Strength U-Joints (April 2006)

Chassis/Suspension
* Prothane Polyurethane Motor Mounts
* Energy Suspension Polyurethane Transmission Mount
* Energy Suspension Polyurethane Torque Arm Bushing
* Polyurethane Front and Rear Swaybar Endlinks
* Custom, Spohn-Style rectangular Sub Frame Connectors
* Moog Problem Solver Ball Joints
* Gabriel Ultra Struts
* 16" IROC-Z Rims (same paint scheme as my original 15" rims - but those are 16"), Michelin 245/45/16 and BF Goodrich 255/50/16 tires (April 2006)

Brakes
Front:
* Hawk HPS performance brake pads
* Lightning Rotors
* Stainless Steel Braided brake lines
Rear: Stock drum brakes

Exhaust
* Catalytic Converter Gutted (I'm planning to install new Cat togheter with the rest of the exhaust system in the future - Winter 2006 maybe...)

Detailing
* Polished TPI Plenum, Runners, Throttle Body
* Powdercoated Lower Intake Manifold and Valve Covers
* Tail Lights and Markers Polished
* Front-end of the car, hood, quarter panels and door has been resprayed and clear coated (June 2005)
* Grill and Hood Louvers have been repainted with a nice semi-flat black paint

Various things that has been replaced or added
* Hood struts replaced with... working hood struts ;) (May 2004)
* Stock wiper blades has been replaced with ANCO wipers blades (November 2005)
* After the stock stereo's failure I've installed MP3 Player... it sounds very well but it was just temporary replacement... (May 2005)
* Hood insulation (June 2005)
* Stock windshield washer pump has been replaced with brand new AC Delco pump (July 2005)
* Fuel filter has been replaced (August 2005)
* Brake fluid has been replaced (along with front brake pads, rotors and lines) (August 2005)
* Factory UX1 Stereo is back finally (September 2005)
* O2 Sensor replaced (September 2005)
* Distributor Rotor replaced (February 2006)
* Driveshaft balanced (April 2006)

Things that were purchased and are waiting to be installed
* New brake drums (waiting on the shelf)
* New drum brake shoes (waiting on the shelf)
* Cloyes Double Roller Timing Chain (waiting on the shelf)
* B&M Transmission Oil Cooler (waiting on the shelf)
* AC Delco 140A Alternator (waiting on the shelf... in pieces ;)
* Energy Suspension Front Swaybar Mounts (waiting on the shelf)
* Energy Suspension Rear Swaybar Mounts and Endlinks (waiting on the shelf)
* Window and Cruise control switches (switches I currently have in the car don't work very well any longer)
