Welcome!
Last update: 2:00am 9/5/05
Well, here is the long awaited pictures of my 1988 Bronco II Eddie Bauer Edition. I bought the truck off of e-bay in the fall of 2003 and picked it up in the spring of 2004. Had to travel to Long Island, NY and tow it back to Western PA with my 2000 Ford Ranger.

Work has finally begun to replace the 2.9L that ate a valve on me. I got a 4.0L from a 92 Ford Ranger with 110k miles on it. Pics from the swap are soon to come, and hopefully soon the swap will be complete so I can put this toy back on the road!
UPDATE
I'm pretty much down to just trying to get the wires to match up on the engine swap. It's taken way longer than it should have because of three main reasons.
1) Insufficient flow of time/money (a typical problem, I'm sure)
2) Not buying an entire running parts donor. Trying to locate all the little pieces needed to make it all work has been an expensive PITA.
3) I stopped playing around with it and turned my attentions to my choptop in hopes of having it fixed up and inspected so I could play on some trails with something that didn't have to be trailered all summer. Well, winter is pretty much here, the choptop is nearly ready for inspection, but it's kinda cold out...lol.
**UPDATE**
It pains me greatly for things to have come to this, but alas, I don't feel I have much choice. I have been completely, utterly unsuccessful at obtaining the wiring diagrams needed and further have not been able to devote the time to tracing the wires to see what will have to connect with what.
The rust on it has gotten considerably worse the longer it's sat, and now nearly the entire firewall seam has rusted out (I was shocked when I opened the hood just recently). I'm just not sure it's worth trying to save the body anymore on it, especially considering that the entire interior would have to be torn out to patch some of the rust spots. At that point, I may just be better off swapping it all over to a better body and scrap this body. Fortunately, I ended up with a Ranger that has a solid cab and bad frame, and since everything below the body on this truck is solid... there may be some mix-n-match ressurrection going on around here.
