UPDATE 2/27/07 The Mercury is sold! Well rather, it was traded in. My mom wanted an SUV, so she got one... She bought a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer AWD V8 with 67,000 miles... it's nearly fully loaded, but it won't be the same as the Grand Marquis. The car was traded in at 32,300 miles.

We purchased the car almost two years ago. It had one owner and was garage kept. The interior and exterior are absolutely flawless. The best thing is that the car only had 26,700 original miles! Currently the mileage is up to 30,800, give or take.
The car pulls quite strongly above 35 mph, given its generous 260 lb-ft of torque at 3250 rpm.
The ride is plush, and the handling superb.
