whats up peeps... I am costa. I am a nissan enthusiast, lover, fanatic,etc...

I own two cars, a 1994 nissan sentra XE that has been very loyal to me, and a 1992 nissan 240sx which i hope will be as good as the sentra.

sentraslider's 1992 Nissan 240SX

you don't want to see pictures trust me!.
picked the ride up for 300 bills.. crashed three times already..

hmmm.. it's now the fastest import at school.. but i quit racing. My best pass was untimed but i hit 92 mph.. and my last timed run was 16.2 at 88.. so i think the 92 mph woulda been in teh 15's

The car is totally gutted, no speakers, radio, carpet, only driver and passenger seats, adn the other stuff. IT's pretty much stock as far as bolt ons but i have done some upgrades, i have full bosch ignition, except for plugs and wires, ngk wires and plugs, AEM intake, no ac, royal purple liquids, 300zx fuel filter, new walbro fuel pump, brand new coolant with water wetter, and that's about it..i've guesstimated i have about 170 horses, to the flywheel maybe 140 to the wheels.. but i don't knnow i'm only guessing.

I would love a 89-90 front bumper.. so if you know who has one hit up the guestbook..for a swap.. or a purchase.

If you want some good weight reduction advice...remove the windsheild wiper fluid tank and fluid for about 10 pounds, take out the power antenna motor, the hood liner, replace the wheels with some lighter ones, theres lots of little "wtf are these doing here" brackets (theres some inside the trunk and some behind the rear interior panels, one is for holding the jack tools). If you don't mind loud exhaust...you can gut the catylitic convertor for a few extra ponies. I just recently took out my back seat and rear seat belts and some trunk pieces and could tell a diference. If you want a CF hood that would save u about 20 pounds. You could also take the impact panels out of the doors for about 20 pounds each as well as the glass if you dont drive in the rain that is...if i remember right theres some foam inside the wheel well cavities, and theres a hidden silencer tank under the radiator. You could also get a set of headers for 10-15 HP. Theres lots of stuff you can do its just up to u how comfortabe you want it.Theres also a little seat trick that u can do, if you unzip the fabric on the back of the seats take the little wires out and it will make the seat wrap around u more (same goes for the bottom cusion). I took the rubber seals that are under the hood off b/c it lets more air flow in/out of the bay. For the bumper Id say go to a junk yard or ebay.

The first few things I'd get for power would be...CAI, big beefy ignition cables (mine are 8 millimeter), iridium spark plugs, and then the exaust (headers and maybe dual catback) depends on how loud you can tolerate it. I'd also get a 300ZX TT fuel filter. You can pick one up at AutoZone etc. for 10 bucks and it's very easy to install. Just make sure you follow instructions on depressurizing the fuel system...or you'll have a face full of gasoline :( I got my CAI, ignition wires, and spark plugs on ebay (each were about 25-40 dollars.) A CAI is a CAI so don't spend hundreds of dollars on an Injen or AEM CAI because it does the same job as the 35$ one...I would reccomend that you get a nice filter for it though. Also, I did some research on 240s and found that it's a common problem that the coolent temperature sensor goes out, replace it and you'll gain about 7 HP back. All in all you should be able to get around 190-200 HP if you do all this stuff. You can get even more power if you bore out the engine and do some internals like cams etc.
