It's boxing day, and there was a crazy deal at A&B Sound. High-end Alpine CD player for 98$ Can. So naturally, I bought it, and my dad is supposed to be bringing home a custom fabricated aluminum spacer, bascially, to make sure the player will be hidden. It should look alright. I'll have pics of the spacer as soon as i get it.
What it was not so long ago.

This cassette storage was definately factory, but apparently a rare option cuz it seems no ones every heard of it.
What it looks like for now.

The Alpine player.

What it would have looked like without the custom spacer I'm gonna put on it.

Factory cut out this hole to let the LIGHT SHINE IN! from this sissy little bulb. I'm going to take advantage of that (though not in a sexual way) and wire my player through that hole, under the console, and up into the dash.

INSTALLED as of Feb. 5 2005
It's about damn time, eh? Yeh well, anyway, its wickedly sweet stuff. And I did it all myself which I feel proud of. I'm really happy with the player. I was being told, when i bought the thing that there was basically no way it would read the cds if its standing up. Yeh, well F*** THAT ! cuz I tested it. It was reading the cds perfectly when it was turned upside-down and being shaken ! SO chew on that fools. Anyway, check out the pics.
basically what it looks like for now. I'm still in the process of finding a way to secure the factory console cover onto this spacer.

this pic and those after it are just so u get an idea of what it looks like in the car. it look obviously much nicer and cleaner once i get that cover on it.

in the dark, had to
