One of the problems was how to view some gauges at night. The Baldwin air filter restriction gauge did not have a way to put the bulb in the back of the unit. They sell a special lighted hood for the unit. The digital temperature gauge I bought so I could monitor the air intake temperature had a bulb in the display but it was not made to be on all the time. The solution was found in a set of blue LEDs they sell for interior lighting in the car. They are pre wired for 12 volts DC and have double sided tape for attachment. I put one on the temperature gauge and the other on the Baldwin gauge and now have nice night lighting for these functions. Here's the photo

Here is the other one on the air filter restriction gauge.

The original headlight bulbs were still working after ten years. Yes these are the originals that came with the car new. I know though that they are getting a little dimmer. I found a set of sylvania " COOL BLUE " type 9004 bulbs for the car. They put out more light and are a bright blue/white tint. They installed in a few minutes and make night driving a lot safer. P.S. The Sylvania bulbs I put in were 100% 50 state legal and DOT approved unlike some of the import stuff out there.

I also found a good cheap ( as in low price ) air/fuel ratio gauge from autozone for about $28.00. This gauge as I found out is just a ten segment LED voltmeter which can measure a 0 to 1 volt DC range. This gauge can be modified to show any parameter we want if we have the right sensor. My first gauge modification was to make it into a temperature sensor by wiring in a thermistor. As the temperature changes the LED's Also change from green(cold) to red (hot at about 100 degrees F). This range can be changed.
Here is a photo of the gauge mounted under the dash. By hooking up a rotary switch with different sensors I can monitor temperatures all around the car.
I may try that in the future.
