This is a picture of my escort today. I bought it new in 1995 and currently have over 177,000 miles on it. It has proven to be a good dependable car that is easy on gas. With a fews mods the performance has also gotten a lot better.
Here is the dash picture of the car . It did not have the factory tach. This wagon is the LX model and sold new for $9999 back in 1995.
Here are a couple of shots of the inside of the car.
Just a shot of the engine compartment. One of my first mods was to drill holes in the airbox to eliminate the air box restriction. This helped out a bunch on performance. When I went for the first test drive I could tell the difference. Not bad for free, just drilling a few holes in the airbox.
Here's the view under the back. No that's not the stock muffler but a low restriction cherry bomb 2 turbo muffler in its place. The performance is good and just littler louder than stock when on the interstate.
Yea I wanted the new exhaust to look nice so I spent $3.99 for this nice chrome exhaust tip.
