clubcoupe's 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air This is my 1953 Chevrolet 210 Club Coupe. 1 of 2,700 made. This is my next project. I have 3 1953 Chevy's and 2 1954's. The others are rough beyond repair so I plan to use those as parts sources. (Some anyways) My pictures of this are low quality so I can take more at a time with my camera :). I will change them to high quality when I get a chance.

clubcoupe's 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air This is the car currently, I sanded all the surface rust off of it and just roughly painted it so I can keep it from rusting anymore until I am ready to start on the body work. I blocked the rear bumper up so I can get an idea of how it will look once I put some airshocks on it. Suprisingly this car only needs quarters and a passenger side floor pan.. the rest is pretty solid.

clubcoupe's 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air Here is the engine. Its a stock 235 108/9 HP.. was locked up when I got it. I spent a few hours on this and got it free'd up, now it sounds great.. I believe it needs valve seals though, it smokes some. This car has the 3 on the tree.

clubcoupe's 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air The seats look pretty good, but I plan to roll and pleat them, aswell as the door-panels.

clubcoupe's 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air Here is a picture of the headliner. Not too bad for such an old headliner. This one had no rips or tears in it. The back near the bottom edge of the window was pulled out, but that was it.

clubcoupe's 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air Here is the dash shot. This picture was taken the day I purchased the car. Everything worked, all the lights, and even the radio! (Atleast the dash looks good)

that looks about like mine...when you freed up the motor did it keep cool and what not? i had to buy a new motor because my old one had a piston rusted in place...needed bored and what not so it was cheaper to buy a used motor, plus it came with a tranny. This car hasnt ran for probably 15 years and im gonna make it run this weekend...any recomendations on what i should do before i decide to pull it out on the road???

That's a very nice club coupe. My first car was a 53' 210 Club Coupe, I bought it in 1964 for $10.00 I wanted another but couldn't find one so I settled for a 53'150 2Dr.Sedan. I bought it this summer. It is bone stock outside and has a 455 Buick engine and drivetrain and A/C.
