Hey, nice looking 944. Thanks for checking my 944 v8 swap! I used the renegade kit, but did all the work myself... including fixing have of the renegade parts. :( In the long run, it came out great. I always make sure to do things right the first time around... so it took quite a long time, but the pay-off was worth it.

I don't know what size/type wheels I'll be using. I do know I need to upgrade brakes - looking at Willwoods for the first phase, so whatever I get will have to be able to deal with those. I am looking for an agressive look, so anything with a lot of lip will be looked at seriously. I've always dreamed of putting the HRE 440 series (445's to be exact) on my 944, but unfortunately having the early 944 has its drawbacks related to aftermarket suspension/braking components due to the offset (or lack of offset) needed to install the newer pieces. The only advantage that I can say that I do have is the fact that control arms are cheap and plentiful. As for your comment on the paint - I liked the flat black too, but after thinking about the amount of maintenance to keep it from getting too shiny, I changed my mind. Maybe I'll change my mind, but that's what got me thinking of chrome sidepipes with the flat black body - I would definitely have to go with the extra wide body kit. Goal now is to get the car through inspection and on the road - can always make changes later!

Hey there! Fired the engine up for the first time yesterday. I uploaded video and added it to my page at the bottom. Check it out when you get a chance!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Clean 944 you have there - saw that you got the Schnell Short Shift kit too! I got mine for 60 bucks from Vertex. Guess they were having a fire sale or something. Good luck!!
