Thirdgen Rules of Style According to Me...
(DISCLAIMER: strictly opinion - no offense - just my own thoughts - don't take it too seriously - this is coming from a guy who drives a berlinetta - feel free to leave comments)
1. 4th gen ram air hoods don't match the lines of a 3rd gen. They're kinda bulbous and look more natural on a 4th gen TA.
2. Cars without ground effects look better than cars that have them. Not to mention ground effects add weight and serve no real purpose. For example, Formulas look tough because they don't have plastic hanging from them.
3. The spoiler found on 91-92 Z28s was a last minute add-on by GM as they were milking out the 10 year old body style. It doesn't match the lines of the car, and it doesn't look nearly as nice as the original integrated spoiler found on most Camaros.
4. Wheels with some 'dish' look great (e.g. IROC, GTA, Formula wheels). Flat wheels with zero offset are for front wheel drive cars.
5. Keep it clean. No decals.
6. Exhaust pipes should stay within the profile of the car. Huge chrome tips and bloody shins aren't cool.
7. T-tops are fun but they are too Burt Reynolds. Not to mention they're heavy, less structurally sound, and of course leaky.
8. Good Stance = Low and level or a SLIGHT amount of rake. Don't jack it up in back like some kind of throwback to the 70s.
