*Update* June 2006
Finally went to the track. Local 1/8 in Calhoun, GA. Ran a 8.03 @ what we believe to be 87.43 mph. Time slip says 91.43 but the consensus from everyone was that the Trap speed is 4 mph off. Best 60ft was a 1.75
1/8 run

Ditched the junk generic posi-unit for a Moser mini-spool. Turning is fun!

April 2006
The car is pretty much done. Have the Windsor Jr. aluminum heads and custom ground cam in. Finally got the car tuned and it made 260 rwhp and 253 ft-lbs with the c-4 and the 3500 edge converter. Since then the old exhaust was ditched for a homemade pro-chamber and spintech sportsmans mufflers using mandrel bent pipes. Also added a k&n stub-stack, a x-treme lid and the lightest secondary springs. Hopefully make close to 270 rwhp this time.

The next project is an '83 Capri that will get a solid flat 306 that will spin up to 7000. Hopefully get pictures soon . . .

*July 2005*
This hasn't been updated in awhile but the car has changed somewhat radically.
The c-4 has been ditched for a TCI street fighter with an edge 3500 stall converter. Traction bars and subframe connectors have been added. Flaming River Push/Pull battery cut-off switch, built 8-inch with 235/60/15 radial t/a's. So far the best run has been a 8.63 @ 79.35 mph with a 1.86 60ft at a local 1/8 track on 26x10.50 - 15 ET Streets. Next on the list is a custom cowl hood to make way for a plate set-up.

The engine is:
E7TE 5.0 roller block
10:1 Speed Pro hyperreutectic pistons
FMS B-cam
D0OE heads, ported/exhausts polished, screw-in studs/roller rockers, 1.94 and 1.6 valves
Professional Products "RPM Air-gap" intake manifold
Holley 670 Street Avenger
Hedman long tubes
X-pipe
2 chamber 40 series flowmasters

just found a 302 motor from a mavrick that i will be putting a deposit on at the end of the week and hes including the transmission and i will end up upgrading the front to disc brakes using a comet as a donor, which is tricky because the lower control arms dont match so ill have to do some more swapping than just the spindles.

dont worry about it man i think you have a good thing going there, ricers will never be as good as a TRUE American muscle car and you have a good setup going there. i plan to do the same with mine someday as i still have the inline 6 in mine but i just chose to start working on other parts first. of course i have a LONG way to go still though.

since your currently doing it im gonna ask you. what all has to be swapped out when upgrading the engine? just the engine and rear end? can i use my current transmission (from a '73 mustang)? this is an upgrade that i plan to do after all other work is done.

suck my balls...you can't even cross the finish line with a 400 hp rocket towing your motor-less piece of shit. stop talking shit about racers and the kinds of houses they live in when you dont even have a motor to back yourself up. doesnt the tab ask for an estimated hp? probably you dont even know what estimated means since your IQ is as low as having a piece of shit mustang as your home. stop shitting around where you can't hang with, rookie.
