I am into engine moods and caraudio
so i have spendt some time doing some changes too my 88 626 Coupe.

The knowledgable Mazda enthusiast migth notice that my car have the same chassie as the 1 gen MX6.
The engine are a different story.
Since this car are sold new in North Europe it has the same engine as the J spec versions.
The engine are a 2,0L 16 valve DOCH unit wich is named FE DOCH, but its better known as the FE3 amoungst most people.
(The pic below shows the engine in my parts car, a 88 626 Sedan)

This engine has a stock output of 148 hp@6000 rpm and a redline of 7000rpm
Compression ratio are 10:1 on the non cat version.

Since i live far north in Europe
was ligths one of my first moods.
The stockers was just not up to my demands.

The grille are an item made by ZKW in Switzerland and sold under Mazdas Finishline serie of "stock" upgrades
This line did also have a bodykit, but to mine (any many others) grief, this was discontinued years ago.
The small ligths in this grille are extra high beams and does really wonders on dark roads.
The fogs in the bumper are Hella Micro FF`s and helps a lot at curvy roads with bad side marking, and ofcourse when the fog are thick.
The car has been lowered 2" to get rid of the huge gaps in the tirewells
and has got a set of 16" alloys with 205/55 Nokia Wheels.
(the roads around here does simply not match 17 or 18" rims with low profile tires)
