STROBES
************************************************************************************************************************
When I added the underbody neon kits, I also added strobes. Again I thought that added a cool touch at night cruise ins and shows, as well as indoor shows!

I purchased Pilot’s strobe kit. It includes the wiring and controller with 2 strobes. They have rubber lens covers in different colors.

They are versatile and inexpensive. The only draw back is the fact that they are not as strong as the ones you see in emergency vehicles on the road. So during the day they really do not show up.

INSTALLATION
****************************************

Really it is not hard at all to install the strobes. You have to drill a 1/2 inch hole in the light housing.

Then simply push the strobe into the hole.

The strobe is designed with a rubber type grommet that will fit in the hole and seal.

Most of them are made this way.

Now I added them to the custom clear front lens I made.

As well as to the clear side lens I ordered from Procar parts.

Now when I added the strobes, I wanted them to be noticeable. I had noticed how GM had left the space b/w the reverse light and the turn signal blank, as well as the outer corners of the amber section.

This is where I added the strobes. Later I made these blank spaces part of the turn signal.

Here you can see the hole for the strobe in the blank space on the very end of the lens.

Here you will notice them in between the turn signal and back up light. You can see one of the old strobe holes in this pic.

This was the hole before I added extra bulbs to the turn signal and lengthened it. Once it was lengthened I had to move the strobe hole so it would not interfere with the new bulb. Then I just placed electrical tape over the old hole to seal it.

I also added them to the rear side signals as well.

Here is a strobe wired up waiting on the lens in the rear to go in.

Finally here are some pics of them flashing at different rates in the rear.

The front pics really did not show anything special. They just look like the parking signals are on.

WIG WAGS
************************************************************************************************************************

Some simply add a strobe to the headlamps, but I wanted to make mine work more like a cop car, so I got online and ordered a wig wag kit. This kit is designed to make your bights flash on and off while you low beams hold steady.

This is the wig wag relay box...

The wiring was interesting to figure out concidering I had already added a bunch to my factory system by adding the 2 beam high conversion to my now 4 headlamp conversion.

But it turned out pretty easy. I just added the wig wag relay box inline with the 2 beam high conversion kit!

Here is the whole thing mounted with the MSD box under the passenger side battery tray!
