Purchased in 1990 from the original owner the car spent many years as a Daily Driver. In 1998 a failed motor spawned a transition to dedicated ET Drag Racing, and then in 2003 a full restoration. A full rework was done with a .30 over 351W it includes Comp XE284H Cam, RPM aluminum heads, 220/190 valves, RPM Air Gap Intake, Roller Rockers, Keith Black 10.5/1 pistons, 1 3/4 Heddman Jet Hot coated Headers, Holley 750 cfm double pump carb, Dynagear Direct drive timing gears.

Adding an engine of this size requires centering the engine and transmission. Mustang II OEM V-8 engines are offset 2 inches to the passenger side of the engine bay. This in turn requires deleting the motor mounts and using a racing application block plate to mount the motor. Also adding the 351W required a 3 inch Cowl scoop to cover the motor, the scoop on this hood was modified from an Unlimited Fiberglass Scoop designed for a 69 Chevelle, but in no way a GM Scoop. ;)

The new Motor also required high end cooling with a Ron Davis Custom Aluminum Radiator.
The interior was completly gone through, New carpet, Seats, and an added tack for the rev happy motor.
