My overall vision and goal for the car is to: Get the whole car painted the same color, and have a personalized graphic and name for it. Replace carpet, and other interior pieces, Get 17inch rims and tires, Put on the custom hood with hood scoops, put custom tranny in to handle my 347, Rebuild engine with performance parts, paint and replace parts/pieces, Put on new shocks and suspension, Tint windows with a green tint, Install a killer stereo system.

Hey! I've been slowly workin on my Mustang II for the last year or two. It's Avacado Green inside and Out and I LOVE it! It used to have a vinyl top but it got old so i took it off. I've only done minor things to it so far but i have BIG plans for it in the future. It is mostly Original right now, and only has 57,000 original miles on it!!!

I just got a parts car to do an engine and tranny swap! It has a rebuilt 347 and a C4 tranny with 1000 miles on it. the body is crap so thats no good but it has green interior which is very hard to come by. I'm starting the swap any day now!!!

4-17-05

I've started the swap and have been workin on taking apart and totally stripping my new parts car. Here's a couple pics of the car.

I have the 347 and tranny out and have been slowly but surely stripping down the rest of the parts car. Here's my progress so far!

I have both engines out now and am almost done cleaning the 347. I'm putting that in tomorrow and hope to have the Green Machine Running by the 14th which is Prom... and on the 17th I'm having custom exhaust put in. Here's some pics of the engines and the 74's emptiness

I have the 347 and C6 tranny in now. I just need to hook everything up... I also have to figure out how i'm going to fit my radiator in since my engine bay is a little shorter that the later year II's. I also need to get a hood scoop because I realized that the hood won't close with the air cleaner on... Here's some pics of the engine and my space issue.

I've been just doing finishing things on the stang the last few days. I have to take out and put in a wiring harness, bend and hook up the line from the tranny to the radiator since it got pinched during the swap somehow. I have a couple shots of my radiator and the room that i now have since i mounted it in Front of the radiator support! I had to make my own mods to let it fit. I'll have to rig up a new way for my hood to stay latched down but oh well. Here's some pics i took today.

I've done a lot in the last month or so. I've just about totally stripped my parts car, and hooked everything up on the Green Machine. I need to hook up the nuetral safety switch but it's a little different on the tranny i just put in than on the one i just took out. The one i just put in only has one wire and plug (which is circular) and the one on my old tranny which i have pics of below, has 4 or 5 wires that go into a square plug. I just need to hook that up, and put new plugs plug wires and a battery in and i should be good to go! Or good to start it anyway...

Ok, so I just replaced the nuetral safety switch with the one i had and I got my II running again!!! I have been busy putting in an electric fan, and some other parts. I was blowing out control modules like crazy so I decided to put in a MSD istributor and ignition! That problem was solved! I also got a new kickdown cable and a couple other small things. Right now i have a small drain that is killing my battery. I think it's because i only had a 55 Amp alternator and that isn't enough. I had my oversized 70 Amp from the V-6 rebuilt into a heavy duty 130 Amp and i'm waiting for nice weather to put it in! I also got a new battery. My carb is actin up and wants to kill when i punch on it... I think i'm going to just get a new one when i get some money!

This is the control for my new fan!

I just did an 83 foot burnout!!! It's not even finished yet and i'm burnin rubber like crazy!!!

10-31-05

Well, I decided to start takin the stang apart this winter. I already have taken the front shocks and springs off and started takin the engine apart again. I plan on taking my engine apart and cleaning and painting it. Replacing gaskets and other pieces. I'm putting in a custom tranny to handle up to 450 hp. I am also getting the whole car and engine bay painted. I need to get new tires for my rims, and replacing my carpet with some new shag. I'll get some pictures up soon.

Ok So since I last updated I have Mainly just been taking things apart and waiting for a Mudding Geo Tracker to get off my hoist. I have some pictures of my engine partially stripped. There's also just some random pictures of what my car looks like at this moment. You can also see my intake and my carb. At the moment i'm just looking for small things I can do to get more power... so if you have any tips or ideas that would be great!

Ok so i've just been taking my engine and interior apart. I have the carpet out along with the seats and other interior pieces. I have Carpet being matched for me so i can have the original green color. I have some pictures of the engine and parts so far, and of the floor boards which are in AMAZING condition! No rust or anything inside or out (bottom of car was weather coated).

Good luck on finishing your car. I am in to sober partying too BTW. Check out my car, I have a hunch we'd get along really well talking cars and all. I have a pair of IIs, each on car domain dot com.

Wow good on you for spending so much time and effort on a mustang that few people respect. I love this style of mustang and have had three in the past (all '76's). Unfortunalty I didn't have any money or skill to do anything with any of them at when I owned them.
