UPDATE: I went to a show in April. Won second in my class but I was pretty pissed cause the truck that beat me had been wrecked. Guess thats good 'ol "professional" judges for ya. Anyways. Wheels are back off probably the last show I'll make it to this season. I'm actually considering raising the truck back to factory height and just having the 2" leveling drop in the back and putting a bigger tire on the 23s. But for now the trucks just gonna be my daily driver again with the daily driver tires. I'll update when somethin new happens. Rate if you care to. Later.

Yes... i wanted to see it bagged so bad... i ghetto-shopped it (with paint) just to see how it'd look... regardless of the terrible edges and rough look... i can't wait til this thing is bagged!!!

THE FUTURE!! (in black)

silveralow's 2000 Chevrolet Silverado

^What a girl... hahahahahahahahahaha.

This is my truck: silveralow's 2000 Chevrolet Silverado The truck was painted in early Dec. '06. Its Sherwin Williams Jet Black (no flake, just black). Unfortunately because I'm in college and the truck really needed to be painted I took it to Maaco. I paid extra for prep work and clear coat and I was actually very pleased at how it came out for under $1000. They prepped it painted everything (including the door jambs and truck bed, and even under the hood) and with the exception of a little dirt in the paint it came out great. These pics I have aren't the best cause the camera was pointed right at the sun in most of them but I wanted to at least get a few while the weather was still nice.

silveralow's 2000 Chevrolet SilveradoThe truck has 23" wheels with NT555 tires on a 3'5' beltech drop. It has a chrome grille soon to be billet and a tahoe grille shell with the factory gold bowtie. A lot of people are going to billet bowties now but I really like the factory one so I kept it. It has a billet bowtie antenna, not too noticeable but I like it. It goes well with the chrome footprint gas pedal. The license plate is frenched and angled in the shaved tailgate. All the emblems have been removed and the roll pan is molded in in the rear. The bumper top has also been paint matched and I bought a z71 tahoe air dam and had it painted blue to match before but the paint started to chip and I had to take it off. I haven't had it repainted but that should be back on before too long.

silveralow's 2000 Chevrolet Silverado My truck has the 4.3L v6 in it. They say from the factory its got 200 hp and 260 lb/ft of torque which isn't a lot but its better than a little import. So far the only performance part on the truck is the Gibson Super Truck exhaust system which, I think, really sounds good. It has a throaty sound for a v6. I would guess with that the truck is probably around 215 hp and I'd eventually like to pull about 300 out of it. If it works out and I have the money before the engine needs to be swapped out I may or may not supercharge it and try to make a v8 eater out of it. We'll see. My plans for the engine are bolt ons. Nothing major just enough to get some extra horses. I want the usual intake that seems to be mandatory to have in a truck these days. I'm also looking into a set of pulleys, headers, a throttle body spacer and bored out throttle body with shaved "butterfly". I've been thinking about an upgraded ignition system, high flow cats, and electric fans but I'm not quite sure about those yet. I've put in a new battery and I'd like to put a second one in to help out with the stereo system and maybe take some strain off the one that I have but the Optima Red Top doesn't seem to have too much trouble. Anyways, I figure with all that I can probabaly land somewhere near 300 hp give or take a few. Then if I'm happy with it maybe I'll go the extra mile and look into a supercharger for it. One thing you'll never see is NOS. I tend to be an all motor kind of person. NOS is cool in the movies but its so much cooler to outrun a car that has NOS with nothing but pure horsepower from the motor.

silveralow's 2000 Chevrolet SilveradoThe interior is pretty much factory right now. It does has Chevy Silverado LS leather seats which aren't available from the factory in a 2000 reg. cab. All the carpet and the headliner is original. All the plastic is original. The audio system has been changed though. I have a Clarion deck that runs the factory speakers and my JL 12w7 subwoofer. The sub is inverted in a custom box (wood w/ carpet for now, fiberglass later) that spreads out behind the two seats with a port on the drivers side end of the box. The amp is a JL 500/1. All of my wiring is Stinger and the capacitor is Stinger and I got an Optima Red Top battery to help out with the electronics. I've already talked to my installer and I plan to put in a set of 4 Memphis M-Class speakers and a JL 300/4 amp with a better head unit by the end of next summer. The back wall of the cab is dynamatted and the rest of the cab will be when the speakers go in. Thats when the box will most likely be 'glassed and the amps and cap will also be mounted differently. There are some blue neons inside that kinda add a little effect to it at night. One directly under the "floating" cap and two under the dash.
