Update! I hauled junk to the dump!
Our editor Rob wants to track all the things we do with our vehicles, here's what I did this weekend. Here's a photo of the bed worth of junk I took to the transfer station!

And here's a video of that transfer station!

This is my 2004 Toyota Tacoma Xtra Cab. It doesn't have too much power - just a four cylinder engine - but I like it. My Tacoma's fairly lightweight so going uphill from a standstill in a Seattle downpour can sometimes be a challenge. But since it is rear wheel drive I have been known to do some, um, 'controlled' drifting when road conditions are wet enough.

I see on the left that my 142 hp is listed under 'Bragging Rights' - I wouldn't say I was bragging about that, but just letting you know what the engine delivers.

The first mod I made to the truck was to line the bed with LineX. The reason I did this is because it's a working truck, I've got things to haul.

LineX is great and tougher than nails. I've hauled bricks, furniture, trash, yard waste - you name it and the stuff doesn't even chip or dent the bed. Best money I've spent.

The next thing I did was to make a couple of improvements to the sound system. I took out the Toyota factory indash and replaced it with a Pioneer DEH 4700. This is a pretty good unit since it lets me listen to all my MP3's.

The other enhancement (which you can't see) is that I put in some Infinity Reference 2-way speakers in the doors. As Napolean Dynamite would probably say, 'They're pretty sweet sounding'. Oh yeah, one thing people don't know is that if they're looking for speaker wires, you can find them in the CarDomain store.

One other update: I added a Pioneer iPod adapter to the indash player. This has since surpassed the LineX as the newest, bestest addition I've made the rig. How can you not love putting over 2,000 songs at your fingertips.

Anyway, here's what the indash installation looked like.
