Progress Updates.

Here's where I'll add photo's and updates each week showing what progress I've made.

1-22-05: Began 305 teardown for removal, didn't get very far tho. Had to stop and research removing the ac system safely and will proceed with that task next week. Broke a socket head trying to remove the alternator as well so that pretty much stopped everything until I can get a new head and continue, but with the recent weather, i'm not going anywhere. Therefore I removed the front clip to make access to other things easier, didn't make much difference tho. I got it torn down to the TBI and manifold and called it a day.

2-6-05: A/C was removed the previous week but didn't have time to update. Today I drained the cooling system, pulled the radiator, a/c condensor, and the whole front assembly of the motor. There was a large amount of dead leaves in between my radiator and condensor, no wonder it was running a bit hotter than normal. Also last week I purchased all Sylvania Silverstar bulbs and new parking/signal lenses, so the H4 conversion is coming out, they just don't look right to me, oh well. Here's photos from today, hopefully next week I have pix of an empty engine bay.

Well I missed a couple weeks of updating, mainly due to doing work underneath where I couldn't take any decent photos, and labeling more wires and connections. Nothing worth photographing by far. Well today I kinda got the engine out, everything is unhooked and or unbolted, in fact, I almost had it all the way out until we had to lower it to re-position the hook on the chain. So we do that and go to start raising it up again and......the cherry picker breaks....and now it's stuck...

Ok, I got the engine and tranny out today. Now I gotta replace the motor mounts and some other misc things in the engine bay. I'll take advantage of having the bay empty and get the alarm installed along with the line lock.

I also put on one of the black armrests, that I got on ebay, in place of the old gray one.
