well i finally got around to starting the spraying of the rocker cover. here you can see the things that i used. i chose VHT spray, because i have used it before and it was suprisingly good. i used just normal sand paper to sand back the rust etc.
this is what i started out with, there was slight surface rust and also existing paint in some areas.
this is after i have sanded it back. its not 100% perfect, but it is very close, and once the paint goes on, the rust will no longer build up.
this is after the second coat. looking ok, but not over the top.
this is how it looks now. there is some dust on it that comes off when you rub it, but i dont want to clean it off yet because im not sure if the paint has completely dried yet, i had the same problem with the exhaust heat shield, but its not too bad, kinda stuffed it bit, but you cant see it.
