Well here it is, these are photos from the other day, we finally commenced work on fixing the car up.
the fisrt thing we did was lift her up and check out the brakes:

basically all that needed to be done was the shoes sanded back a bit, cos they had oil shit on them, apart from that, everything looked healthy.

after that, we took out the distributor to put it on the distributor tester. we found out that the condensor was totally stuffed, which meant that it wouldnt start properly, and would rev badly, which is one of the current problems. we wanted to change the oil that day, so we stuck the dissy back with the shot condensor and points that were getting fried, so that we could heat up the car to change her oil.

the result was that the new racing exhaust that i had fitted was still smoking, due to the crappy paint they used to paint it before they sold it to me. this meant that the workshop was totally filled with smoke, which was probs toxic.

as you can see below, this is the result, the exhaust is now half white, grr

Once she was warmed up, it was time to get out the oil, i bought it from my local fiat workshop, this is aparently the best blend they have, so i had to buy it, lucky the sump is small, i am able to get 2 full fills from the one bottle, plus top ups, he he.

I ordered custom HT leads a while ago, and they finally came. they are custom made to length, they are 10mm stainless steel, the stock recomended leads are 4mm, but i decided that my baby should have the best of everything. note that you can see my chromed exhaust heat shield. i used VHT expoxy chrome plus. i was suprised how well it acctually worked, i have decided that my next chroming will be the rocker cover. i also bought some flame proof VHT paint to re-paint my exhaust with. i wish the idiots i bought it off had have done it in the first place, but i guess it gives me something to do.

That's pretty cool, bought one a while back for $50, actually the guy told me I could have it, then I just bought him a carton of beer... It's still on Grootte Island, and I'm paying $800 to get it to Darwin, then I'm popping a 13B rotary in there... Buy yours looks pretty damn nice. Good job.
