Here's some pictures of the stock engine, Honda's D16A6

Internet searches have given me the figure of 108hp stock, as its the Si model from '88-'91.

The filter is an APC Intimidator. I realize its not top of the line, but it was extremely cheap and a heck of a lot cleaner than the clogged stock paper filter that was in the box. I guess I'll report back later after I've driven it for a while to tell you how its working.

Nov 10 - After a while with the new filter, the only main difference I notice is the sound. Its got a much better, throat-ier growl now. I haven't done too much driving yet so I don't know if there's any more feul efficiency, but time will tell I guess.

On my 1000km drive to Edmonton, I averaged about 38mpg with a trunk-load full of luggage and some bad driving. I'm guessing that with the new filter, better habits, and an empty vehicle, I'd be getting over 40mpg.

nice si =) CAI doesn't always increase gas milage (depends on your location, elevation etc.) And the hp gains are minimal at best you will notice better throttle response.
