Engine
This car was originally a 1991 Toyota MR2 non turbo (2.2Liter DOHC, 5SFE). After the majority of the paint and suspension work was completed, I decided to do a swap. I contacted Jarco in Canton, GA. They were able to supply me with a fresh cut of a 1992 JDM MR2 Turbo. I recieved all components and the swap was a complete success despite minor stepping stones. The car now harnesses a 92 JDM 3SGTE 2.0 DOHC Twin Entry Turbo. The main differences between my motor and the US version are the absence of emissions, computer tuning resulting in an increase of 25hp over the USDM ECU, and the ceramic turbo.
