This is what the car looked like when I bought it in 1997 for $3500.The top was shot, and was one of the first things replaced. I also replaced the belts and hoses and gave it a tune-up. The engine was tired, with 114,000 miles on it, but I drove it until January of this year, at which time I decided it was time for a rebuild. Interior was original and in need of everything. I started going to the junk yards in search of interior trim. I bought this parts car for $500. It yielded a lot of great trim parts. I sold what I couldn't use and nearly tripled my investment. I had to give this '69 Mark III plus $2500 to get the car painted. At Paint'n Place in Placentia, Ca. with all trim removed.

Hi Jim, Your cars look amazing! That beige Continental is my favorite. I can picture my Mom in that with a beehiveand gloves! And I love the "Extras" brochure. How about those curb feelers as we used to call 'em. I didn't know you could get those through Lincoln! And seatbelts as an option! I had forgotten about that too!

Beautiful Car...check out my 1963. I hope you don't mind, but I copied your background wallpaper.

Jim, both cars look great but the '64 takes the cake. It's been truly beautifully restored. That must have taken lots of courage (not to mention money). I hope I get to see it someday and hear the stories. The 'before picture' of the engine compartment made me laugh because it already looked so much better than my chromed mess! Bye, Reijer.
