2006: ENGINE COMPARTMENT MAKEOVER: ADDING THE MSD BOX WITH CUSTOM PLATE

Since we were going to be making a mess of the wiring anyway, Joe thought this was the perfect time to throw in the new MSD box...
Joe made a nice plate to mount it to the body. It held not only the MSD, but some fuses, relays, and a power distubution block from the frame rail of the engine bay. And last but not least.... my wigwag light controller box.
Here you can see the relays, fuses, and dist block....
Here is the rubber mounts for it on the body!
And finally installed...
A last minute add was that of my headlight conversion relay... its next to the dist block!
The wiring from it and my wig wags all tied in together...
Taping off the headlight and turn signal lines...
The only problem we ran into was fitting it in the space. The recess GM made since this body was designed to have a bettery on either side depending on where or not it was a V-6 or V-8 car left us with an interferance point. So Joe decided to cut it out!
A bit of blood spent for the cause!
Here it is out...
Now that opened it up... no worries it will get a new piece welded in to make it smooth!
