*UPDATE* 10-23-08
R.I.P 81 elky 1981 to october 22nd 2008
Last update ever for this el camino it went to the junkyard yesterday i sold the big block out for 1800 bucks. The car was all bondo in the quarters it was hit hard a few times in its life. so we chopped the front clip off because it's all brand new and im gonna put everything on the wagon.
The big block is starting to look like a engine. I got the manifolds on it and i put the wiring harness back on. I also hooked up the fuel pump and fuel lines. So hopefully in the next week or so i will be able to crank it up and i can't wait.

I have been working on the el camino lately i got the 4 core radiator and radiator support back on. I have to get a set of spark plugs for the big block. I also have to get upper and lower radiator hoses, transmission fluid, and antifreeze then i can start her up for the first time in the elky.I have a picture of the bed loaded with el camino parts for this one and my purple 83. So here are a few new pictures there are a few with my van.

7/18/07
Pictures of big block 402 during day now all i have to do is put the pulleys, starter and all the other stuff on.

7/15/07
I finally got the 402 Big Block installed at 12:30 am on saturday july 15 2007. Now all i have to do is hook everthing up and then she will run, I can't wait to see her run.

7/14/07
Got the 402 all painted up and the chrome valve covers on. Hooked the turbo 350 transmission on, i set it in my el camino but it would not line up on the motor mounts just right, because it was hitting my a/c box. so i pulled it back out and removed my a/c box which it broke, went to jack it back up with the hoist and the cylinder pump broke so now i have to find a new one to jack the motor back up to put in.

7/2/07
Got the valve covers on and they make the engine look awesome, for more engine pictures go to page 4.

6/29/07
Here are a few pics of the motor repainted now i am just waiting for my grampa to get back form north carolina with my chrome valve covers. Then i will get all of the pulleys and brackets painted, and replace all the seals. I also am putting a turbo 350 tranny on the big block it has all new b&m components in it.

6/3/07
The 305 turned out to be a big peice it smoked and carried on. I Have bought a 402 Big Block hooked to a Th400 for my el camino the engine has 51,000 original miles on it. I pulled it out of a 1971 3/4 ton Chevrolet custom 20 pickup. It ran great we drove the truck from daytona to my house which is about 100 miles or so. I have to clean it up real good and paint it, I am also going to change all of the engine gaskets and transmission seals. Here are a few pictures it is pretty dirty right now but soon it will look brand new.

Well it has been a while since i have updated. I found out through carfax that this el camino was a one owner vehicle it is now a two owner now that i own it. I have also found a 305 with a 700r4 tranny all ready to drop in and crank up that i may be buying. So i may be starting back on her soon.
1/24/07
This car is Almost completely Ripped apart and i am in the Process of trying to finish my 83 El Camino. So this car is on the back burner it has no motor or tranny no doors it is also sitting on jackstands, so it currently is rapped up with a tarp and a car cover. I Can't work on it anymore until i get my 83 done But as soon as i get my 83 done i am going to jump back on this one. I have a new 350 and new B&m Transmission for it but i Don't have the time to put it in because of the 83.

I got new seats for my el camino now the interior is finally complete. I bought a new crate 350 with a new B&M automatic transmission with a shift kit the engine is alittle bit over stock not much but a little. i have to por-15 the front clip of the el camino and the motor is going to be dropped in. I am going to get the jams painted and the doors painted soon so i can put it back together. Currently it has no engine i took it out and put it in my 83 el camino.
Pictures just took today 10/10/06 Pictures are what i have Painted in POR-15 and POR-15 Chassis Black.I have painted the complete radiator support, the front frame horns, and from the end of the gas tank to the rear bumper. I will be adding more updated pictures as i paint more.

I just got my car back Yesterday friday the 25th it took longer than expected but it is sweet.the picture on the left is before i sent it to the front end shop the one on the right is after. Notice that the back sets up higher off the wheel now. It has air shocks and they only have like 30 pounds of pressure in them they will hold 200 pounds.

Took my car to Gibsons front end alignment shop to get all new bushings, shocks, and springs on my car. I have to go pick it up tommorow friday august 18th.
My car in its current state painting the door jams.Getting ready to take radiator support off to sand blast and por-15 also going to por-15 the frame. for more of the most recent pictures go to page two.

He tried to buy it in daytona at the turkey rod run but the guy wouldn't come off his price but finally the guy came off so we finally got it. We probably wont have it for very long theres a carshow sunday he may sell it there.Update: He sold the corvette to the guy down the road he also got 2 cars in on trade also.Who knows we might get it back he is always trading with the guy down the road.

Well we brought this 66 mustang home that my grampa traded his 1964 plymouth fury convertible for. I have never seen a mustang in better shape it is in PERFECT condition, the only bad thing it has a inline 6. My grampa sold it at the carshow and the people came and got it on 2/22/06.
