Here's my '88 Fiero GT. I originally bought it in 1999 with the 89k miles on the original 2.8 V6. It's a 5-speed. After I ran the stock engine dry on oil (oil leak turned from a seaper to a gusher instantly), I replaced it with a 3.4HT GM crate engine. As of right now it's just dropped in with no other modifications using the stock intake and exhaust setup. I dynoed it at 138 hp and 194 lbs/ft of torque at the wheels. so I'm guessing the crank hp is somewhere around 150-160. When I need to replace the clutch, I'm gonna rebuild the engine to hopefully make around or maybe alittle more than 200 hp at the crank.
I have modified the suspension with full polyurethane bushings front and rear. 1" lowering springs and Koni adjustable (red) shocks and struts front and rear. I'm running on Dunlop Sport 8000 tires (225/50/15 Front, 245/50/15 rear) on the stock wheels. I'm in the process of purchasing some Hoosier R3S04 DOT race tires to assist with the autocrossing.
My performance data was retrieved by a night at the saturday night drags, and a G-tech Pro. Before My suspension upgrades, and with the tires mentioned above, I recorded skidpad g-forces at a steady .87 g on cold tires and cold pavement according to G-Tech Pro. I need to get my hands on one again to try the test again with all my new goodies (I'm hoping for .95ish on street tires and over 1.0 on race rubber).
Brakes were also mildly upgraded with crossdrilled rotors and steel braided brake lines.
Other than that, everything is stock. Besides some upgraded replacement speakers. Still using the stock delco AM/FM/Cass deck. still has working A/C. yatta yatta yatta.
