Dirty;

WASHED AND WAXED:

These are my modification models. Im trying to go for a look similar to these;

Ok this is first now fall; its been 8 hours and its still snowing hard. We live on a farm and I took it out in the pasture for some fun! As you might guess, I dont have sprinkler lines going through the back, otherwise it would be a spring of hell. You can find the video link at (These are just clips, if you want the whole video e-mail me, but its mostly a lot of the same stuff):

This is a photoshop simulation of what it would look like with about a 3"-4" suspension raise. I wouldnt be able to afford new tires right away, so it would look like this for a while. New as of 1/26/05, I found this disco on the web, same color, tires might be stock (ive got slightly bigger ones) but its got about a 3" raise.
Now/Later

(OLD) Right now I have Les Schwab OpenCountry All Terrains on it. They are brand new and are siped for a little extra traction when its wet. With suspension upgrades I would want to go for these. Either BFG All Terrains or BFG Mud Terrains, cost a ton to get new tires though, especially when the ones I have only have 2k miles on them.
(NEW) Right now I have BFGoodrich Mud Terrains. They are brand new and have giant lugs for extra traction on dirt/sand/mud/snow/you name it. It did cost a ton to get new tires; it also cost a ton to get new brake pads and rotors.
Before/After
My original choice was between the mud terrains and BFG A/T's;

This is my buddy JP on his jeep, almost ironic I guess. We went on the trails and he got on top of it for a photo, so I put the original to the side and "photoshoped" it up. I spent a good amount of time doing this July 4th this year. I even made sure the bushes and what not were "non-repeating" and some other neat stuff. Like removing his shadow completely.

New update- 12/12/04
Just rigged up my cheap lights, this is a pick of that night, just after I got them to work.

Went off roading with a pal, but this time it was after a good snow. The problem was that we hit a small bit of water, no big deal right, we go in fine the first time, after testing the depth and to see the bottom, but we dont take in account for the thick floating ice. Well after comming back through, the ice we broke up the first time piles up under my bumper and smashes the front 2 fog lamps between the ice and the weight of the vehicle. This absolutly sucks.
It could have been worse though....

Here is a pic of my friends jeep when he got stuck, I drove my rover in the back to get one of those Kodak moments. Also another pic of my Rover this time going through a small trench. Sadly this wont happen much more, after 6 times he got it upgraded beefy jeep style; tires, lift, you know...
Before/After

It also cracked the bumper a bit, which is why im thinking about buying a steel ARB Bar to replace everything. Pros-it can also hold a winch if I want to add it in the future, dont have to buy a winch frame like the TJM bar, it will be easier to get than the TJM bar, and is not welded- so its lighter, will improve my approach angle, and wont break. Cons- cost $825-850 delivered. (not including tax) Then I need it installed, god knows how much that would cost. Id try to get a friend to do it for cheap....or free.
Compare to TJM Bull bar...
Here are a few interior pics I took.
I did buy a new Hi-Lift Jack (black steel) I have it tied town verticaly in my trunk. I am planning on getting a Expeditionware 3" Heavy-Duty Recovery strap soon $85.00
Update 12/25/04-
This is a picture I found of what my rover will look like after the upgrades, minus a couple things, and the bar. It will cost me around $3300 minus installation. 3" OME suspension lift (751s in front, 781s + 1" spacer in back), (this has a TJM bar, but id have an ARB), Warn XD9000 winch (not shown in pic), 2 Tow shackles for bar, Hella Rallye 4000's, and I have decided on BFGoodrich Mud Terrains vs. All Terrains.

Hope you like what I have so far....I hope to have some future mods soon (as soon as I get some CA$H to do it) and to carry on the land rover tradition. Please make comments, tips, or suggestions in my guest book!
