Hey all, this is my 2001 Land Rover Disco II. I bought it a couple months ago but havnt been able to drive it full time till now due to the fact that I am not old enough to have a license, but I do have my permit! I get my license by 10/23/04. I have only recently started to do anything with it because of the high cost of it compared with your everyday teenagers car. And because I am still flat broke from buying it.
I love messing with photoshop, so you will see lots of toying around with pictures and what not, I will tell you if a pic has been altered with photoshop. Here is one I made to copy the "only in a jeep" logo/moto. (Dont take this as being a poseur, it was just something cool to make :)
Please write me any tips, suggestions or comments you might have on the message board. Going for the off-road approach, if you can help me send me an e-mail.
(Brand New, right after I bought it)

Mods:
1. (bought with) Bull bar, official land rover brand, it looks neat and has saved my bumper a couple times on approaches and what not. Was definatly put on aftermarket, didnt come with it. Err...It also can hold 2 aux lamps! :)
2. (bought with) Performance exhaust system, w/ performance catalytic converter....allows me to get 18 miles to the gallon on the freeway. Note: new exhaust pipe comes out side to prevent me from gassing myself if there was a seal leak in the rear latch. Ill have to measure the pipe, but its that width all the way from the engine. Previous owner had it installed, its MUCH wider than stock pipe, I believe its 3", have to check.

3. K&N Performance air filter to replace stock
4. Cheap Generic off-road lights That are now wired! It was a pain, but worth it.
5. SYLVANIA SilverStar bulbs. Yes, they are whiter and about 10% brighter, I think. Dont care, were $37 at walmart, was worth a try and im not messing with them to take them out.
(pic with stock bulbs in new package.)

6. 3" OME custom suspension lift made by using 751 springs in front, 781 springs + 1" spacer in back, N107 Front Nitrocharger shocks, and N108 Nitrocharger shocks in the rear.
7. K&N Performance GOLD Oil Filter, model HP-3001. Almost twice as long as a stock rover filter.

8. Custom built CDL linkage, $7.57! Only used a hammer, power hand drill and hands (thats all I had :) But it works great, and is expendable.

9.BFGoodrich Mud Terriain tires; 265/75-16

10. Inverted tire carrier to fit 265/75-16 tires

Some possible future mods (not in order of importance):
1. Optima D31M Blue Top Marine battery (huge) in place for stock one
4. (OLD) Lights for sure! Would like round ones on a roof bar, and to get my two in front wired. I've got an idea going, probably wont do it, but here goes, 3rd pic here, its to use the empty switch areas to just make a simple off/on for the aux. lights, problem is, with a wiring harness for most of them, would be a pain messing with all of it, and buying switch, etc.

Some trail action photos...

This is possibly the look im shooting for, I used photoshop on this one...

Other various photos...
Made these on photoshop to explain light config, I was kinda going crazy at the time with how many I could put on, I dont think I could power this many for any realistic amount of time, but it was worth posting....
