This is my 1987 Vauxhall Carlton 'slightly' modified with the installation of a Small Block Chevy V8 pumping out 280BHP. This is passed through a Borg Warner T5 gearbox to a 5 linked rear axle. Suspension is all rose jointed with NO rubber bushes. The engine exits out of 2 side exit exhausts which produce a nice deep burble from the V8. Excellent!!!

The car was originally fitted with a 1.8 litre 4 cyl engine and a standard 5 speed box. The rear axle was an independent trailing arm type. The new rear is a live axle that was originally used on a commercial van, which was narrowed and fitted with an LSD.
There was 2.5 years put into building this car and I worked on it every Sunday from early morning until late evening.
The interior is full stripped out and a roll cage welded in to provide safety and strength to the shell.
I'll be adding more pictures over the next few days.
