Current Progress:
Spring 2007
Hey everyone! Thanks for visiting my page. A lot has happened since I tucked my 67 away over four months ago! My 18th birthday came around and my dad pitched in for a BRAND NEW 700R4! Torque Converter and the TV kit for an Edelbrock carb. So far I have taken the motor out, swapped to an Edelbrock aluminum intake, bolted the new tranny up, and set her back in. I'm hoping to hear her run by this Sunday. I don't have pictures yet as I have been getting my hands dirty every chance I get. Been working a lot and I'm still in high school, but have been able to work on the Hurricane during my weekends. Will be posting pics this Sunday! Until then, take care!
Christmas 2006
Well, it's been over two years since I first bought The Hurricane. Sadly, she's spending the rest of 2006 in the backyard. I'm going to upgrade to an overdrive tranny and a high rise intake and won't have the time to do it all at once. I bought a 1984 Toyota 4x4 that I'm playing in the mud with until the second unvailing of the Hurricane, hopefully in April. That way I can graduate and drive away from the school one final time in my Chevy.
As I said, I put in a 350 V8 with a spanking new Edelbrock 600cfm carburetor. I also spray painted the front trim chrome. Spray paint chrome, as ashamed as I probably should be, they turned out quite nice.
MY NEW 350 SMALLBLOCK!!!!!!!!
September 4, 2006 (Labor Day)
I just got back from a great camping trip with some friends of mine. This time I was daring enough to take my truck. The 40 year odl one with the same inline 6 it had when it rolled off the line. And guess what? I made it there and back in one piece! The gas mileage wasn't half bad...
