this is the car

The Reason for the name "Ruth" is because Ruth Edmonds was the original owner of the car in 1973. I have all the original papers as well as the manual. I even got her keychain from '73.

I bought it for $1,800 and have invested another 2 grand in it.

Its mostly stock. The original engine was a pontiac 250 cid 6 cyl. And when that blew after 30 years of abuse, the 2nd owner put in a completley rebuilt 305 cid motor from a 82 Chevy Monte Carlo. Thats what the cars got now. But hopefully i will be getting a pontiac 400 cid motor from a family freind. Should give it a little more go.

The current motor is mostly stock. Its got a bigger cam in it, and new heads. It also has a new Holley intake manifold and a brand new Edelbrock 4 bll Carb.

The exhaust is let out through some Hooker longtube headers then through some Flowmaster 40 Series mufflers, and then out through dual sidepipes.

The transmisions a 3 speed on the collumn. Im gonna convert it to a floor shifter though. But this requires money, of wich i dont have at the moment.

The 2nd owner had it dynod at 280 hp when he sold it to me.

The exteriors in great shape, It just had a brand new coat of High Gloss Black Paint, courtesy of maaco.

As far as the interior though, its ragged. Im missing a few knobs, and the vinal in the rear has been baked to the point that it crumbles when you touch it. The bench seat is also ripped up and i need to have it re-apouhlstered.

Damn dude, I love this car. I looks so much like mine, just shinier. Please put pontiac power back in it soon. Engine mounts are a dealership away. It may cost more, but trust me, the torque is worth it. Later buzz.

Sweet looking ride. I like the poverty caps on it and the dark color really sets it off. Go for the 383 stroker. Much cheaper to buy parts for. I have a '72 with the Pontiac in it and love it but if they already have Chevrolet's in them it'll be much easier to make it fast. Just a thought. Cool car.

Order this manual.

It tells you all the interchangable parts from Nova to Ventura, Apollo, or Omega.

Nice car, body looks good. All of the Nova stuff is the same except for the front sheet metal(hood, cowl, fenders, header panel) and the tail light panel. Front fenders from an Olds Omega or Buick Apollo will fit, they are the same as the Ventura. Nova front sheetmetal will fit on the car too but you have to use the whole Nova front clip. Then you would basically have a Nova with Ventura tail lights. Need any more info feel free to email me, I will help if I can. kg4chm@yahoo.com
