SamKilbey's 2000 Renault Clio Hi ive recently joined this sight because i am in need of advice!!! I am thinkning of buying a clio. The same one as in the picture. What do you think? I am 17 so insurance will be a big aspect and im not sure if it will be expensive for this car. Howver it is only a 1.2. If you could provide me any information that would be a great help. Oh and before i forget i would wat to modify it and some kits to it. You know the usual but the insurance will go up loads. I dont wannt pay as much insurance as i did to get the car!!! Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi, Sam.
I would definately go for it. Just bought mine a year ago, same 1.2, as you've mentioned. First, don't be affraid of the small engine. I should know, I was too. The car is very fast and lively both is dense city traffic and on the highway. Sure, it's not a sports car but it got a very low fuel consumption. I have done over 500km to tank. Driving is really nice and comfortable, even 3hour straight rides are a breaze, and 5 people sit quite nicely for such a small car. Handling and steering is very good. The color in the pic looks great, mine is white, that is very practical in hot Israeli weather, but as you are in UK, I should tell you, the interior heating rocks!. It has this nice feature for heating your feet only... you'll want to live there! The greatest thing about this little car is the parking. The Clio can squeze into any paking spot!
If you drive in the city, but want a fairly cheap car to burn the highway with, the clio is the way to go.
Cheers

Hi Sam. Im JP from Costa Rica. Look, Clio is a really nice car for so many things that I really recommend U to buy it. One important thing is that u should look for the CLIO SPORT VERSION. He is 2.0 L and 16 valves, plus all the details and accesories that the sport version has instead of the normal versions like the 1.2 L or the 1.5 L. The sport version cames with 2 doors, fog xenon lights (these looks in a blue way) double muffler, A/C, electric mirror and windows, 6 speed manual. Actually, he is a really fast one because of his weight (as u should , the clios dont have too many weight...) I dont know if I gave u some interesting info, but this is all I know about those little FAST cars. I hope U get the most appropiatte car for U and show it here on the page. Good Luck. Peace!! PS: I also have a car in this page so if U wanna check it ... He is on the Toyota Tercel Street version, model 96, JP Jazz. Be Safe...
