When I first got the car, the thing was on its last legs. The engine barely ran, the once white interior was dark grey, tires were bald, and the list went on. I got alot of stuff off of my 80 Z28. I just had to put the 80 on hold. So the 73 was the main concern. First thing was to get it running right. There was so many vacuum leaks it wasn't funny. It had a stock 2 bolt 350w/ 2 barrel. I installed an edelbrock RPM manifold with a Edlebrock 600Cfm carb. I upgraded the ignition with all the better Accel parts I could find. Once I got the car running up to par, I concentrated on the interior. No-one wanted to ride in this hoopty ride. I had a friend with a complete black interior for $100. At the same time all this was happening I was building a 383. Now before I installed the 383 we actually made it to Carlsbad to do some runs. The 350 could only muster 15 seconds all day. I was disappointed, but I knew the 383 would wake the beast. I haven't been able to take it to any 1/4 mile tracks because there isn't one close. All they've got is 1/8th mile tracks.
