1963 Chevrolet Impala Station Wagon

This page is for my '63 Impala Wagon which is currently under construction. Pictures of the restoration will be updated here.

Description

White, 1963 6 passenger station wagon. Blue Interior. 283/Powerglide. Factory Air conditioning, tinted glass. Power steering/brakes.

Basically what my car looks like.

History

This car was purchased by my parents in the late 1970's and used as a daily driver until the early 1990's. I began driving the car in 1997, when I turned 16 and needed a car to drive.

During high school, this car endured several modifications, including 2 cut coils, a huge stereo, and dark tinted windows. That is the way it was when I drove it to college in Michigan in 1999.

That summer, I was involved in an accident with the car after the Woodward Dream Cruise, which destroyed the passenger front corner of the car. With some help from a great friend, I was able to get the car driveable and return home to Pittsburgh.

The car was immediately disassembled, and has basically sat idle while I finished college.

The body is currently sitting on jacks, with the frame partially disassembled underneath. Nearly all of the parts have been gathered to complete the restoration.

I love these old 60's wagons, a buddy of mine used to have a '64 Impala wagon, what a great cruiser that was! Sorry to hear about the wreck, but I'm sure you'll have it fixed and lookin' good as new in no time. Also, congrats on finding such a clean parts car, good luck!
