REST IN PEACE

Car is a total loss :(
I would like to take this oppertunity to say how much I loved this car. It ran like a champ, and would have done so for the next 5 years easy. As I browse other cars, they have something very hard to live up to. This car was not only a means of transportation for me for so many years, but a relationship. I will always remember my Pontiac, my first true love.

List of Modifications:
Digital Horsepower PCM - PFYC - This is great because it gets rid of that annoying speed limiter. Also lets the engine rev 200 rpm higher.
Speedbuilt Fenderwell Intake - PFYC - Convenient 2 piece system that runs to the front fender, or shorter. I found it annoying to clean the filter when it was down there, so I have it set up in its shorter setting. Another problem is the PCM placement. But building a bracket for it is a fun job.
DynoMax Cat-Back Exaust System - Had to remove this item due to shitty cheap ass system. The sound was great, but don't expect a long life out of this system.
Hedman Exaust Tips - PFYC - These tips look great. The 4 barrel look is killer on these cars.
Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Springs - Local tuner shop - A great modification. Instant improvement everywhere. Gives a more aggresive stance to the car as well. Doesn't eliminate all body roll, but makes a huge improvement.
KYB AGX Manually Adjustable Shock Absorber - Amazon.com - Made a huge mistake buying from Amazon. Should have purchased from 3800performance and saved about $60.00 :( I made a huge mistake leaving this mod for so long. I was driving with the lowered springs, and stock struts for just under 60,000 km. Not a good combination. These make the ride with the lowering springs very good. A MUST have for any GP. The quality of this product is top notch, the install is easy, and it just plain works. There are four settings and they adjust very easily. I leave it in its most comforitable setting (1) all of the time. With the baby in the back I need to show this car can handle the hustle of daily life, and now it doens't beat me up in the process. Any advice for anyone getting lowering springs, wait till you can afford to get the struts, and do it all at once. The box claims 2mph gain in the 1/4 mile (in stiffest setting 4). Thats huge...
18" Katana Destiny Rims - Local tuner shop - These are good looking rims, they weren't over the top expensive, but they are unique enough that you don't see too many people roll with them. Size is 18x7.5 I wish I had done more reasearch and picked up 18x8. The rubber is 245/45/18
Altezza Style Tail Lamps - PFYC - You like these or you don't. They were the first mod I got for the car, and I loved them because they instantly set my car apart from the other Grand Prix's around. I've had lots of people call these ugly.
MOMO Pedals - Local Tuner Shop - Racing pedals, aluminum and rubber. The style is also called Grand Prix, so I figured it was a perfect match.
MOMO Floor Mats - Local tuner shop - Bought these to match the pedals.
MOMO Shifter - Local tuner shop - I thought the stock shifter was rather large, so to keep the MOMO theme I got a shift knob too. I like it, it works.
Pheonix Gold Subs and components - Local tuner shop - These guys pound. I got a good deal on them, and went to work on a custom looking trunk. With minimal effort the desired effect is acheived.
Optilux - Hella Angel Eyes Driving Lights - PFYC - These are bright and the angel eyes look menacing from below. A great improvement over stock.
1 Piece Projector Headlights & Corner Lights with Amber Reflectores (Chrome) - 360tuners.com - My stock lights were getting real dirty, and I had lots of condensation in them. I left them as long as I could, but now wish these were the first mod. I love them. Night time visibility is great, and the look is so up-scale, and unique. A must have for all Grand Prix's.
Figure Aluminum Grilles - PFYC - I ordered the Street Scene grills, but didn't like how they fit. It was rather forced. These new Figure Grilles fit better. They also have lots of options for color etc. I only wish I purchased the clear coat with them to make them shine. I'm satisfied with the look though.
