My 1991 Nissan 240sx, Bella (beautiful in Italian, or Spanish),
started on the side of the road up in North Carolina. It had a blown motor with a hole in the block, but knowing we did not need the old KA24DE engine we payed $600 for it and towed it down to Florida. The plans are to make it into a drift/street car. Just got her so im trying to treat her the best I can.
After taking the fenders and front bumper off we found that it had been hit on the driver side near the headlight. The kid/guy who owned it before me obviously tried to repair the fender bender, but didnt do a good enough job. The new life of Bella starts here with the repair if the smashed rear fender and smoothing the firewall.
PLEASE VOTE!

Well the past couple months we've been traveling the East coast going to show and happily taking awards and trophies :D Also, we've been fortunate to get some television coverage and a magazine spread in Braggen Rites Magazine down here in Florida!
Bella got sick for awhile, meaning she was running on three cylinders for a short time. The rocker arms on the 4th cylinder had shattered, but luckily didnt bend any valves or get into the cylinders. Problem has been solved and she runs beautifully.
We've started to build our bench motor which we plan to be up in the 1000 HP range.. hard to believe to some yes, but we'll be using all Tomei internals, along with a custom Borg-Warner turbo setup to handle the power and boost we'll be pushing in the Street RWD Class.

Haven't been around in awhile.. sorry to all who have written and thanks for the on-going comments about auto trader. Well in the past couple months Bella has undergone a couple minor modifications.
-We've got some new Racing Logic adjustable coilovers with Swift Springs from the guys over at Kure Motorsports out in Japan!
-Cooper Tires has been awesome and has thrown us some street tires for daily driving.
-Mickey Thompson supplied us with the race slicks for the track.
-The battery and fuel cell had to be enclosed in order to take her down the strip and qualify to enter the Street RWD class. We've been doing NOPI and HIN shows on the east coast and have more planned out for the year so keep an eye open for her. She might be in a town near you pretty soon.
Here are some recent pics from shows and races!

Freshly painted hatch and Cryo2 bottle.. aiming for the carbon fiber hatch in a couple months
This weekend we had the tuner from Titan Motorsports that tweaks all the race cars come by and measure out the wire harness that is going to have to be made for the Motec engine management system. 3 weeks til that comes in. In the meanwhile, we also mounted our tires and rims and plan to put the brakes and wheels on tomorrow. We're gonna hold off on the alignment until later because we need to do some more important things to have her done before April 1st.

Pictures are worth 1000 words :)! Besides some minor problems with the white reacting with previously sprayed clear coat the paint job came out beautifully. First time ever spraying a complete car and not one sag or run! The car was totally painted by Sunday and is going to cure over night so I can bring her home and finish dropping the motor in for the final time within the next couple of weeks.

This weekend we got all the right timing parts and accesories for final assembly. We spent Friday getting the block and head put together and Saturday assembled the intake/exhaust manifold, turbo, downpipe, wastegate, adn everything thing else that you see. Looking good so far especially with all the polished parts on top. Monday will consist of fitting the motor in the bay so we cna finally spary the car and throughout the week I will spray the block and oil pan metallic grey for a nice offset with all of the polished stuff and electrose nickel plated bracketry.

We decided to remove our gas tank with the shaving of the gas fill-up lid. After painting the undeside of the car we had to cut out the tire-well and weld in a new piece of flat sheet-metal which backtracked us a little, but no biggie. We cut out a square for the 15 gallon fuel cell.

The car will be stoppin with 13" rotors and a 4 piston Stainless Steel Brakes caliper in the front and a 2 piston caliper in the rear. Stainless Steel Brakes did not make a caliper bracket for this huge brake set-up so from the help of a local machine shop in Florida, we fabricated brackets. We replaced the stock master cylinder with a 300zx master cyliner with a bigger bore . We will put a proportioning valve inside the console somewhere so i can very my brake bias from front to rear whether racing, or on the street.
