I bought my 'blackjade' [super dark green] LS400 in October of 2003. It only had 80,000 km's on it [that's about 50,000 miles] and was in excellent condition. [and it still is] It now has about 135,000 km. It's a nice looking car [with a wonderful Nakamichi stereo] but it has a few problems related to engine performance. Can't seem to figure it out. The dealer has tried to fix the car several times - but it still doesn't perform as it should. It takes far too long to reach 60 mph [about 13 seconds] and won't go faster than 117 mph. [it's supposed to have a top speed of 150 mph] It's also lower by about an inch on the driver's side and the seats aren't all that comfortable. Then again - it is a 14 year old car. Sometimes - cars [and other products] can become 'victims' of their own reputations. If I bought a 1993 Buick instead of the Lexus [no offense to you Buick guys out there] I probably would never have noticed any problems at all. Still... it does LOOK nice!!
