New Pictures of the 'Bird out of hibernation as of 3/13/07 on page 7
This is my new 97 Firebird, auto trans, LT1 V8, 100,570 miles on it. Bought it from the bank as a repo for $1186.78. Can't go wrong with that, eh? Has no mods that I know of other than a K&N Filter that was in it when I got it. ABS light is on and TCS is permanently off as well, lol.
FINALLY DONE! (minus Dynomax catback, Bilstein shocks and some other cosmetics)
The gauge cluster, yeah, 100k miles on it.

Painted the old busted up fender to see how this Candy Mandarin over Light Driftwood (gold) base was going to turn out..i'm lovin it!
Alright, this things done, kind of. New fender didnt take the paint and the d.side mirror had a run, but those will be repainted as soon as its dry enough to put the car back together to get it outta the garage. Here's the primed pictures, base gold pictures, and final coverage pictures. One full coat of primer, 3 coats of gold base, 5 coats of Candy, and 3 coats of clear.
Primer
Gold base, you can't really tell its gold, but it is, and actually the color grew on me, I even thought about leaving it that color if things went bad :-P
And the final product, this candy/gold really has a pear/color change effect to it.
The back
The front
The door
The nose, this is about the color of the whole car when you see it in the light
Compare this to the picture above, you see what i mean about being color shifting.
Here you can really tell the color change. Hint: Difference between side facing the camera, and the side going away from you.
