This page was made to show you how some aspects of my car came to be.

Center Console: When I first got this car the center console was a scratched up crud covered waste of space. It had an ancient coating of something that became tacky and easily messed up over time. I decided that this was one of the first interior mods I was going to do.

Here are the steps It took to get it where it is today.

1. first remove the damn thing from the car.
2. strip that gummy crap off of the plastic center(scotch brite pads and Easy off oven cleaner).
3. mask off all vinal parts and radio opening.
4. cut 2 1/16th hole for boost gauge.
5. fully sand and smooth plastic.
6. primer(3 coats)
7. base coat(2 coats)
8. top coat(3 coats)
9. clear coat(2 coats)
10. polish to nice luster.

Next is the main dash pieces with the heater controls and acessory buttons.
Just repeat above steps and take care to mask the heater controls well.

This is my personal favorite. But a headache indeed. The headlights. Once dull scratched up and hella faded. Now cystal clear and bright red. These are a pain in the ass so take your time.

1. remove from car(Duh!)
2. clean up, unless you like getting really dirty.
3. use a heat gun, 2 hair dryers, or an oven to heat up the edges to soften the glue type sealant.
4. pull up on both the front and back at the same time to keep from cracking the black plactic tabs(4 screw downs that hold plastic to base).
5. unscrew and remove the black plastic lens surround.
6. paint as desired(steps 5-10 above)
7. strip and polish lens with an automotive grade glass stripper/cleaner.
8. repeat #7 till totally clear and shinny.
9. clear coat the lens or wax both sides to give shinny protective coating.
10. shine up the mirror projectors very carefully to increase bulb brightness.
11. screw down projector surround.
heat up base glue again and firmly reapply lens.
12. reseal with automotive grade weather proof silicone sealant.
13. reinstall in car.
14. enjoy.

Hello there, I was amazed of how you have modified your car ;) Awesome work... I wanted to inquiry you about the headlights. My headlights' glasses don't look good and I would fix that. I wonder, what kind of materials you used for that and if it work in my case? Could you e-mail me, please? anuzis(et)jonas.lt With the best regards, Jonas Anuzis
