In July 2004, I was looking for a nice muscle to build up and restore. Fortunately I found this 1972 all original, numbers matching Monte Carlo for very cheap and decided to invest my time and money into it.
The car was purchased in '72 "fully loaded" with power everything, leather bench seats, A/C, rear window defrost, and a AM/FM Radio. The car came with the 402 big block(other options were a 350, 400,and 454 SS version), TH400 tranny, 12-bolt rear end and a vinyl top.
This car was bought brand-new is 1972 and kept in excellent condition all through it's life. The original owner used it only as a summer car, and garaged it through the rain. When the man passed away, his family decided to sell the car and it came upon me, and I had always wanted to start restoring cars early in my life. Since the original owner had passed away the original emerald paint had started to fade and so I repainted it in a nice Racing Green.

So, I slapped on a pair of Uniroyal Tigerpaw 235/75's on the 15" rallye wheels in the back. I am soon replacing the front tires, which are the original Eagle GT 215/65's(no longer made) with the similiar Eagle GT II's.
The 2 1/2" stock exhaust piping coming from my Flowmaster Super 40 mufflers. In the spring I'm going to build my own exhaust, using a Patriot Stainless Steel side-pipe kit.. For the stock GM 12-bolt rear-end, I filled it with 3:73 gears, perfect for frequent driving and mileage around town and on the highway. Oh yeah, good for dragging around town too :)
