Welcome to my new page
...LOOK AT BOTTOM TO FIND UPDATES...
i have gotten some of the pics I've taken of my International.
my "I" series on the left, then here on the right is what she looked like back in 1990 brand new. only... shes burgundy metallic.
The new one, Red on Red leather/cloth interior, which is like brand new. I am the second owner of her. The exterior of the Cutlass is like new too, and i will try the best to keep her clean and neat like how the original owner did for the past 14 years.
alittle flash back here. Recognize the black Cutlass. Yep, taken after i gutted her out nearly completely. I will miss that car, yet i have to thank for the collision cause without that, i wouldn't have gotten the International. for more from my 89 calais s, check out my other webpage on her, the member name is dmans89cutlass.
INTERIOR:
Music wise i have a pioneer headunit, got rid of the aiwa that was in the 89. like i said, the interior is in mint condition. not one tear in the leather and vinyl, no stains. i was gonna take of the leather buckets and replace them with racing seats to preserve them, but im not gonna. the car is going to remain completely stock for value. i did replace the interior accent panels with the 89's white ones, but painted them gold metallic. may have pictures of them, dont know tho until i decide to actually keep them. i have the interior lighted with StreetGlow red neons hooked to a toggle.
Door panels, they may be replaced by the 89's. have in mind of custom doing them in red and gold vinyl to keep the same look without damging the original panels.
But yea, something bad can happen, then it can all turn out good. In a way, im glad i didnt go after the new ralli-art lancers, still like them.
:NEWS: yea, coming up in MAY, a car show in a little place called fawn grove, i will be there with a car club, dont know on the appearence of my car, may replace the painted interior parts with the originals.
7-17-05:NEWS: attended my fourth car show in hereford,md. won second place in my class. the trophy is a mug, atleadt i can use it. ill have some pics of the show up soon.
9-05 Received a second place trophy at the Bedford all Olds car show.
10-05 Received a 3rd place trophy at the Bel Air Petsmart benefit show.
12-27-05 just had to dismantle the engine, and gladfully the head isnt cracked or blown head gasket but to find which i find funny is an intake valve in cylinder 1 was blown. i will have a 7th page put up when we are done with her with pics of the process and stuff.
5-05-06 Having some deep thoughts of selling the International and the Quad442. Any bids?
6-20-06 New Engine installed with 66K miles. Plus upgrades and mods.
3-27-07 JUST WHEN I THOUGHT THE INTERNATIONAL WAS GOING BACK ON THE CAR FIELD, BANG. REAR END DAMAGE. YEA, SOME ONE HIT THE ASS END AND NOW I HAVE TO FIND A WAY TO FIX IT. POOP.
8-14-07 The CCI just entered the 200,000 mile club yesterday. hopefully when i get sum money i will have sum updated pics of the rear end damage lookin brilliant. yea still need the damage fixed but i can hide it partially.
7-9-08 Just purchased some W-41 cams for the original motor when i rebuild her. stil looking for decent h.o. cyl head and rear bumper. purchased my streetglows once again for my headlights. the car is still cruising finely with 210,000 miles and im doing a good job i think hiding the damage in the back. i also updated some recent races so to say.
6-23-09 still trying to recooperate like most of americans with the unemployed. everyday it sucks still driving my once showcar with a rusty dent in her rear. 227,100 miles on the car, im going to be in the process of replacing front end parts, axles, tie-rods, steering, and rear engine mount. note to other quad-4 owners!!!, SO FAR THE ONLY ENGINE MOUNT THAT HAS HELD IN THE FRONT WAS AN ORIGINAL FROM GM, NO NAPA OR AUTOZONE, ADVANCE, ETC. i broke 2 until i got the GM. but getting another job and perhaps getting cheap maaco body work done in the meantime could help. i still have the original engine @ 188,700 miles still ready for rebuild with perhaps the w-41 cams. my only concern is with the cams and the chip usually in the 5-spds. i have the 3spd auto, but its great for a drag like transmission.
8-9-09 230,457 miles on the body, about 110k on the engine and trans. im still wanting to gather more info on my engine rebuild, the 3 spd HM trans with the w-41 cams, lower end rebuild and upper as well, hi-oct 93 new regulators and pumps, larger injectors maybe. PLEASE, NO ONE DO NOT COPY MY MAIN IDEA, id like to create a Carbon Black Series out of my complete rebuild. i kno black is gonna be a new color theme, and i have a very intriguing design in my books. the burgundy metallic will be kept. now if ne1 could offer tips or such help, please fill me in.
PICS OF 1st DAMAGE.
Damage is now settled, instead of $1600 in body work, i spent 60 bucks in used parts and my own labor to straighten out the fender and replace the headlight assembly, headlight, and the grills. the hood is the only noticable thing until and if i put the chalkboard one on.
