**Update 02/02/06**

Well I installed the shutoff switch and a toggle switch for the 2 stage chip that Steve burned for me. He wrote a more aggresive tune for me to run with race fuel. I also put some VHT on the supercharger belt to help keep it from slipping.

**Update 02/08/06**

I raced my friends supercharged 2004 GTO Friday night and beat him with 12.342 @ 112.179 to his 12.713 @ 112.713.

Here's the time slip.

**Update 06/12/06**

Well I was invited by GTR and Vortech to attend an open track day at Willow Springs Raceway and now I'm hooked! I love drag racing but I love road racing even more. However, I did find the weaknesses of my car. First of all on Saturday I overheated the brakes in the second session. I actually boiled the brake fluid so I replaced the old fluid with some Dot 4 and that took care of the brakes. The car was also running hot so I replaced the factory radiator with a dual row aluminum one from Fluidyne.

Here's some pictures from the weekend. I'm working on some video and will post when I get it.

**Update 08/01/06**

I have been having issues with the Cobra getting warm lately. Most of the time it has only been when the air was on and if I shut the air off for a while it would cool back down. If I drove without the air on it wouldn't get hot at all. But tonight I ran to the store and on the way back the car got hot without the air on. When I shut it off I could hear steam so I tracked it down and found that the head gasket is leaking at cylinder 2. Now I have two cars to get done before Sept 23rd so I can run them at Fontana. I'm kinda glad that the head gasket is blown because I took the car to LACR a couple weeks ago and ran a best of 12.35 which is only .01 slower than my best time there. However, I ran the 12.34 back when the clutch was slipping. Also, my mph on the 12.35 run was down by 3mph compared to the 12.34 I ran before. On the 12.34 I ran 112 but only 109 this time so the blown head gasket explains a lot.

**Update 08/03/06**

I pulled the heads today and inspected the gaskets. There were two spots around cylinder 2 where the gasket had blown. Also, in the same spot on cylinders 1 and 4 you could see the gasket was getting weak. I'm going to pick up a set of Felpro MLS gaskets Tuesday and start putting it back together Tuesday night.

**Update 09/10/06**

I got the new head gaskets and got them installed Thursday night but I only installed the heads. I still need to install everything else. I was going to finish it Friday but I came down with the flu so I haven't been up to doing it. I'm feeling better today so I might work on it some tonight. My brother also set me up for two races on Sept. 23rd at Fontana. One is against a supercharged '93 Cobra and the other is against a LS1 Camaro that has nitrous. The Cobra and the Camaro raced each other on the street and the Camaro won. According to what they told my brother is that neither of them have been on the track but the used a G-Tech when they raced and the Camaro ran a 12.4 and the Cobra ran a 12.7.

**Update 09/11/06**

Today I installed the rest of the valve train as well as the intake manifold. I still need to install the TB and elbow as well as the superchanger and other little things that I'm going to try to finish tomorrow.

**Update 09/14/06**

Finished installing everything except the distributor. The factory is now seized so I bought an MSD one and I'm going to install it tonight.

**Update 09/14/06 Evening**

Well it's running again. I just need to drive around some and make sure that no leaks pop up.

**Update 09/24/06**

Ran the Cobra at Fontana this weekend and ran my new best time of 12.016 at 113.08. Here's the time slip. I'm working on a video and will post it when it's done.

**Update 01/15/07**

I took the Cobra and the Chevelle out to Autoclub Dragway Fontana yesterday and finally got in the 11's with the Cobra. Here's the timeslip.

**Update 04/07/07**

I took the car to the track today and ran a best new time. The only change I made from the last time I ran is that I installed a MAC offroad x-pipe. I noticed that the car was louder at part throttle and that it had better midrange power also. However, I didn't expect to pick up as much as I did. My new best itme is an 11.698 @ 118.45.

My next mod will be tuning with the Mr Freeze.

Here's the video. The Chevelle is also my car. In the races of the Chevelle against the Cobra I'm driving the Cobra and my brothers driving my Chevelle.

**Update 07/16/07**

The clutch had been slipping recently so I bought a Spec Stage 3+ and installed it a couple weeks ago. I works much better then the Centerforce ever did. However, the two weeks after I installed the clutch the third gear syncro went out. Now I have to pull the trans again.
