Here is my 1973 RS Z28: Littlefield 6-71 supercharger on a 355, Be Cool dual core aluminum radiator, Tremec TKO-500 5-speed, Moser 12 bolt with Eaton posi, 33 spline axles, 3.42 gears, Detroit Speed & Engineering tubular control arms, CPP aluminum master cylinder, etc.
I put a lot of thought into this car..I wanted it all..big power & track performance, good gas mileage (gets ~18mpg) & driveability, radical good looks, room for the kids in the back seat so I don't have to cruise alone, etc.
As for the engine specs, it has a teflon-stripped & hard anodized Littlefield 6-71 supercharger on a 355 w/ AFR CNC ported 195cc aluminum heads, 15 lbs boost, TRW forged reverse dome blower pistons, Speed Pro moly rings, 7.6:1 static compression, CompCams hydraulic roller (276/288 advertised, 224/236 @.050 duration, .509/.527 lift w/ 1.52 rockers on a 113 lobe separation), Morel roller lifters, Nitrided and polished Pacaloy Beehive valve springs with 175 pounds seat pressure and titanium retainers, Eagle 4340 Forged Steel crankshaft, ARP studded bottom end, Eagle ESP forged H-beam rods, Comp Pro-Magnum 1.52 roller rockers with 7/16 studs, Stef's fabricated aluminum oil pan, Cometics MLS head gaskets, twin 750 Edelbrock carbs, 1&3/4 inch Hooker Super Comps, 3" dual exhaust with cross over pipe. MSD 6AL ignition & Pro-billet distributor.
Hope to get some meaningful track times soon. I have been to the track twice, but I am having serious traction problems. Last visit in November was my first time with slicks and the track was very cold and spinning the slicks all the way to the 1000' mark in the quarter mile, with the tail end drifting out severely on the first 2 shifts. What a whiteknuckle ride!
...Thanks for stopping by!
