1/12/08-Frederic Cassivi was recalled to the Capitals while Brent Johnson was injured. When Johnson returned from injury he was assigned to the Bears and he played one game for the Bears on the road vs. Wilkes Barre. He lost the game but played great being named the games #2 star. While Cassivi was up with the Caps the Bears recalled Davis Parley from South Carolina. Parley played one game for the Bears.
Nolan Schaefer was named to the AHL All-Star team. Marc Denis assigned to Norfolk of AHL. Played in Hershey vs. the Bears as an Admiral.
Jeff Pietrasiak was traded by Reading to Bakersfield. He was then released by Bakersfield and signed with the Texas Wildcatters.
Phil Sauve was sent to Idaho of the ECHL. David Aebischer has left the Phoenix organization after being sent to San Antonio of the AHL. He is back with his team from years ago in the Swiss league (HC Lugano).
11/20/07- Updated registry with a few card images of Budaj, Daigneault, Cassivi, and Denis.
Most of the 2007-2008 card sets are not out yet, at least the ones that will include the new Rbk jerseys and season accurate photos. ie. the VICTORY set has photos from last year and not all of the player teams are accurate. I did notice that the new 2007-2008 Young Guns set has a Tyler Weiman card (Colorado NHL). If you missed it, late last season the Reading Royals released a set with Jeff Pietrasiak in it. Also, there is a hard to get Rio Grande Killer Bees set with Jeff Van Nynatten, David Masse, and Rob Voltera all in it.
The 2007-2008 set from Finland is out already though and does include a card of Sinuhe Wallinheimo. You can find it on ebay.
I will try and stay on top of the new releases. The Bears Patriot News set should be out soon. That will contain the first card of Daren Machesney in a Hershey uniform. Daren had numerous cards at the end of last year get released in a Washington Capitrals uniform.
ITG Between the Pipes from the end of last season included Cassivi, Sauve, Budaj, and a neat card of Rin Hextall in a Hershey uniform.

Pietrasiak makes Reading roster again, Tyler Weiman gets first NHL recall and plays in a game! He is then assigned to Lake Erie. Maxime Daigneault is playing in Milwaukee. Sauve is playing in Iowa. Nolan Schaefer is currently with Houston but has been recalled twice already to Minnesota. Aebischer assigned to San Antonio of the AHL.
10/10/07- Updated the registry to include 2007-2008 season info. Numerous players updated including Neil Little, Wallinheimo, Sauve and more.
9/29/07- Cassivi and Machesney assigned to Hershey from Washington. Dave Marlin released. Jeff Van Nynatten was assigned to the Rio Grande Killer Bees. Tom Lawson signed to play in Russia. Maxime Daigneault assigned to Milwaukee.

2/17/07-Freddie Cassivi called up long term to Washington due to Kolzigs knee injury.
Just got the Phil Sauve ITG 2006-07 Jersey All-Star card anlong with Nolan Schaefers 2006-07 Worcester team set card.
2/5/07-Frederic Cassivi back from injury. Appeared in 2 games for the Bears and was then called up to Washington. Machesney, who was up with Washington now back with Bears. Nolan Schaefer called up to San Jose.

2/1/07-Nolan Schaefer aquired by Bears on loan from San Jose of the NHL. Davis Parley returned to South Carolina.
1/4/07-Maxime Daigneault left the game last night with an injury. Watch for transaction news! Heck, Machesney and Pietrasiak might be here long enough for Patriot News to make cards of them this season!
1/1/07-Bears Goalie Card update. Patriot News releases Cassivi and Daigneault 2006-07 cards available at the rink.
2006-07 ITG set is now out. Freddie Cassivi one of the players in the Calder Cup insert series. Phil Sauve is in the ITG Game Used AHL AllStar Memorabilia set.
12/31/06-Bears Goalie Freddie Cassivi out through January with a broken clavical. Max Daigneault promoted to starting netminder. Daren Machesney called up from South Carolina, plays one game for Bears and gets called up to Washington to back up Olie the Goalie. Then sent back down to Bears. Max is sidelined with a day-to-day groin pull. Jeff Pietrasiak called up from Reading as an Emergency Back Up and played against the Admirals recording over 40 saves and getting the win.
Phil Sauve played against the Bears sunday night as a P-Bruin.

11/19/06-Daren Machesney recorded his first professional shutout making 23 saves to snap the South Carolina Stingrays four-game winless skid with a 1-0 victory over the Charlotte Checkers.
11/15/06-Coyotes trade Phil Sauve to Boston. Boston then assigned Phil to Providence.
11/6/06-One week after Maxime Daigneault got his first shutout of the season Freddie Cassivi does the same! He made 33 saves to blank Syracuse.
11/1/06-Frederic Cassivi and Phil Sauve were both nominated for AHL goaltender of the month in October.
10/26/06-Former Bear Peter Budaj faced off against the Caps last night in Colorado.
10/17/06-Bears nominated Frederic Cassivi for AHL player of the week. Bears goalie Maxime Daigneault backed up Cassivi one night after leaving a game with a groin pull. No transaction to aquire a fill in goalie was needed.
10/8/06-Frederic Cassivi has now passed Phil Sauve for 6th all-time in Bears wins!
David Aebischer got his first win of the year last night for the Habs. Marc Denis fell to 1-1 with a loss.
10/2/06-Frederic Cassivi and Maxime Daigenault appeared in goal last night for the Bears. For those "goalie pad" lovers who have been asking me Cassivi again has gold and black Reebok pads and gloves. He also wore his "Bear" mask from last year. Daigneault, who came into the game for the 3rd period had all white Sher-Wood pads and gloves. He was wearing his "Pirate and Skeleton" mask.
Tyler Weiman has been assigned to Albany of the AHL.
9/3-/06-Tom Lawson played last night in the pre-season for the Houston Aeros and got the win while making 4 saves in the shootout and 17 saves during the game. He faced fellow former Bear Phil Sauve who dressed for San Antonio.
9/24/06-Phoenix Coyotes assign Phil Sauve to San Antonio!
9/23/06-In NHL pre-season action Marc Denis made his Tampa Bay debut and Peter Budaj played for Colorado. Caps assign Daigenault and Cassivi to Bears.
9/20/06-Caps assigned Daren Machesney to the Bears. Maxime Daigneault will back up Olaf Kolzig tonight for the Caps against the Lightning.
9/19/06-Bears begin training camp thursday for physicals. First on ice sessions begin friday.
9/6/06-Tom Lawson has been invited by the Chicago Blackhawks to attend their NHL training camp.
7/28//06-Bears/Caps re-sign Freddy Cassivi for two more years! Sauve re-ups with Phoenix! Budaj re-signs with Colorado for 3 years! Aebie re-signs with the Habs! Marc Denis goes to the Lightning!
7/3/06-Daren Machesney invited to the Capitals Rookie Camp. Machesney played 49 games in goal last season for the Brampton Battalion, registering a 28-17-1 record, a 3.03 GAA and 3 shutouts. The camp will run from July 9th thru July 13th. Machesney is a young Capitals prospect that may see time in Hershey soon enough.

6/17/06-The BEARS have won the 2006 Calder Cup. BEARS starting netminder Frederic Cassivi named the Playoff MVP. Cassivi played every minute of every playoff game and was backed up by regular season goalies Kirk Daubenspeck and Maxime Daigneault. Info on the upcoming rookie camp coming soon.
5/4/06-Maxime Daigneault has been assigned to Hershey to play as the third goalie on the team in the playoffs. Poll question changed. Cassivi won the last poll followed by Dauber, Daigenault, and Ouellet. Many more pics to come. I have a handful of Ouellet, Budaj and Sauve cards coming and I am still working on trying to eventually get the whole collection up.

4/20/06-Maxime Daigneault called up to the Caps for the last regular season game of the year against Tampa Bay. New cards to be scanned and added soon. 2006 ITG cards of Ron Hextall playing for the Bears, Maxime Daigenault junior cards, and a Cassivi card are among the soon to be updated.
