5/18/09- Sorry for the lack of updates. Lets get caught up. Varlamov ended up seeing time with the Caps during the regular season. Then he was with the team in the playoffs when Johnson went down with an injury. He sparkled in goal for the Caps in the playoffs and replaced Theodore as the starter. Cheese would go on to have a solid season with the Bears but had an injury late in the season. Neuvirth woudl get PT with the Bears, played awesome, and even got called up to the Caps when they needed a goalie. He played for the Caps and did very well. He is currenty the starter for the Bears in the playoffs. Goepfert signed overseas. Braden Holtby joined the Bears after his junor season ended. He backed up for Neuvy in the playoffs when Cheese had a slight injury. Kris Mayotte was called up to the Bears during the regular season and played a few games.
10/16/08- Bobby Goepfert won two games in the pre-season for Hershey. Was sent to SC, recalled, and sent back during that time. Neuvirth played in the pre-season as well and so did Machesney. Neuvirth has not dressed in the regular season so far and may be loaned out. Machesney has played 2 games and won both as Varlamov has played and won one game.
9/7/08- The 2008-2009 season is just around the corner. Sorry the site has not been updated much lately. Most of the news just gets posted on my Stack the Pads blog.

Hershey Bears Modern Day Goaltender Registry & Hockey Card Section
More cards being scanned soon.
This list and my collection includes ANY card of ANY Hershey Bear goaltender. It includes players who appear on the roster in training camp, pre-season action, regular season, and playoffs. Even a back up goaltender who is with the team on the bench but doesn't see action in a game counts. I also included the goalies from the 2005 Bears Prospect Camp held the summer after the lockout. If he was or is a Hershey Bear and wears a Bears jersey I collect his card.
The pictures of the cards are being worked on. I will try and and upload them as quick as I can. I try to feature 2-3 cards per player.
