update 4-5-05

Well ill start by telling you guys how i got my car. it was simple, my stepdad gave it to me. he was going to sell it, but he knew that i liked it, and so he gave it to me. and i honestly do love this car, and how it looks and the interior space it has, But i hate the performance. But i have a dream!! yes, and dream that one day this baby will pack a supercharged 3800. then it will be the complete package, until then the old 2.8 will have to keep up with my right foot. lol.

These are a few pics of what the car looked like when i got it.As you can see it was a banged up. a couple of months before i got it someone crazed into it, and it aso had crome rims, but one of them craked and they had to be taken off, but all of that was before i got it. regardless i still loved it, i even passed up the opportunity to get a newer car for it.but good news is the after having it for about a year, i fanaly got it painted (not great, but for 250 it was good, and it also had a peice broken from the right corner of the nose (or header panel, whatever you want to call it, that isnt in the pics)and a couple of ckracks as well and he fixed it all with fiberglass, so i think the guy gave me a preety good deal.lol.

this is how the car looks now. i know it preety much the same color (theres only a slight difference, this one is a bit lighter, its a mixture of the paint it used to have with this other one), also i got the plastic bumper corners replaced, which took me for ever to find,(man are these cars hard to find good body parts for) and even when i found one of then, the other one was kinda messed up (so i busted a mickey, and it looks decent)oh yeah, now i have new tires, i dont know if you can tell, but the ones i had before were a bit thinner from the back(215/50/15 compared to the 215/60/15 all around now), and now since their both the same size, they make the car look higher from the back, it looks preety good, but the problem is that it isnt rwd. lol so it gives the fake impression of a muscle car. oh yeah, and only like two weeks after it was painted, my lil sisters took a rock and scratched the passenger side doors, if you look closely you can see.

This is a pic of some subs i had bought befor i moved, but since i moved, i was out of a job, and ended up selling them cuzz i dint have money to buy an amp. i sold just the subs for 200 and i had bought the wholde thing for 210, so i got to keep the box and still lost practically no money.

This is the stereo i got, this is the fourth one since i got this car (one year period) . the first one i had was broken by my damm little sisters and brother (they pulled out the volume buttons). the second was stolen, they broke my window too, which hurt the most cuzz the stereos was an old sony (oh yeah, and the doors were unlocked). and the third one was an old clarion that i got from my so called "friend", but it dint want to play cd's (but it was still cool of him to give it to me). and now i have this fourth one. i moved to this hot ass town (valley in cali, so what you expect) and it would always start getting too hot and tripp, so i recently put a computer fan right above it (inside)so it could stay cool (i put switch on it so i can turn it on and off too, i got it from my lil sisters doll. hehehe!!!)

these i are the speakers i have in the dash (Dash is a lil fucked, so i had bought another one, and my stepdad was supposed to put on, but he never did and ended up leaving it at the shop he worked in back in LA, so thats 80 dollars i wont get back ), their 4" and they still wouldnt fit. i got these for 20 dollars, their 90 watt max kenwoods. not bad for the price.

This is a pic of the back of my car. you can see i need the back bumper filler (or body filler how ever you call it) i tried got some from a skylark, but my stepdad said that they dint match up, i was sure it did, but i dint want to argue, plus my brother ended up braking it so that was the end of that. you can also see the window sticker i bought, it says "Cash, Grass or ass, Nobody rides for Free". i thought it was funny since i was always giving this girl a ride home, and my friends would always hitch rides from me.

**THESE ARE OTHER PICS OF THE CAR IN ITS CURRENT STATE!

***4/5/05 - had to replace struts and springs a for the front a lil while ago, got them for all new for 100 bucks thanks to my stepdads friend, and put them on with help from my bro and some guidence from him.
***i aslo need to get the axles replaced,

HELP*****also it makes some terrible noise when im going down the road, you can start to hear it going at about 10mph or so and gets louder as i go acelerate (sounds like a vibration kind of noise and comes down from where the axles and control arms are) and when i turn the wheel the the right it goes away, but when going straight or turning the wheel to the left the vibraton is there. could this be the axles or contral arm (since one boot is broken from each of those on opposite sides) or could it be something else. it used to do it before, but only when going like turning the steering wheel to the left going 45 or faster, but now that i got it realighned, cuzz i changed the struts and springs, it does even going straight and slow. any thoughts are helpfull.

!!!!EVERYONE CHECK THIS OUT!!!!

ITS A PIC I MODIFIED IN PHOTOSHOP, THIS IS WHAT I WANT MY CAR TO LOOK LIKE ONE DAY. IT WOULD HAVE 18" CHROME RIMS (I USED THE RIMS FROM THE 2800ES THATS ON CARDOMAIN) ##/40/18 TIRES, SHAVED DOOR HANDLDES, REMOVE ALL THE CROME MOLDING, LOWERED, AND A 3800 SUPERCHARGED FOR THE HEART OF THE BEAST. I WOULD ALSO LOVE TO PUT A MOONROOF, AND AN INDASH FLIP OUT DVD WITH MATCHING SOUND SYS. OH YEAH, AND LEATHER AND SWAY (DONT KNOW HOW TO SPELL IT, BUT YOU GUYS GET THE POINT) INTERIOR. ITS ALL A DREAM, BUT ONE DAY, HOPEFULLY!!!

The noise you are hearing sounds like a wheel bearing which has dried out. They are sealed and can't be repacked like rear wheel drive front bearings. It will need to be replaced. If you lift the wheels off the ground and run the car up to 40 mph, you should be able to hear which side is making the noise with a stethoscope or screwdriver.

Nice job, I'm just finishing my 1982 omega, looking for some body parts, any ideas. Front end problems sounds like wheel bearing, i had the same problem. Cheap fix.

dude i have a olds omega to. except mine is a little different i have a V6 with a 4 speed manual transmission and i was cheking you page out and noticed you said you were having vibration noises and shit well i'm here to help you. you most deffinetly need to replace your axles nad if you go to auto zone or shucks or simalar place all the axles you buy have limited lifetime warrenties (trust me with this car you want it)
so that means you can replace as manytimes as neccesary for free after buying them once i promise you do that and repack your wheel bearings and keep up on maintnace the beast will last you and will ride smooth as ever promise. i have no pic of my olds up on my page because it does not look very nice at all it is beat up but it runs like a champ nice and smooth and i've done alot of motor work and tranny work on it and it will make some grown ass men cry
